Abstract
The invention relates to a synthetic composite material of ZnO / BaTiO3 / CuO and a low-temperature alkaline hydrothermal fabrication process. The material consists of ZnO as the support phase, BaTiO3 (approximately 3%) as the ferroelectric phase supporting charge separation, and CuO (0-70%) as the heterogeneous adsorbent phase with ZnO. The fabrication process includes: preparing a Cu(NO3)2 2H2O solution in DI water, stirring and heating to approximately 70°C; adding KOH dropwise in stage 1; introducing BaTiO3 into the system; adding Zn(CH3COO)2 2H2O dropwise into the system; adding KOH dropwise in stage 2; aging at approximately 70°C; recovery, washing, and drying. The obtained material exhibited a multiphase structure through SEM / XRD / Raman / FTIR / UV-Vis measurements and showed the ability to photodegrade organic dye solutions within approximately 20 minutes, which could be processed using pseudo-first-order kinetics to determine the apparent rate constant k.
