Abstract
The invention relates to a biomass fuel pellet using durian peel residue after extraction of phenolic and flavonoid compounds as the main raw material, combined with starch paste and at least one additive selected from a group including waste internal combustion engine oil, activated carbon, or a mixture thereof. The solution allows for the simultaneous utilization of agricultural by-products and industrial waste to produce biomass fuel with high calorific value and low emissions. In some blending configurations, the pellets achieve a calorific value of approximately 19.0 MJ / kg to 24.0 MJ / kg, which is approximately 19% to 46% higher than the control pellets containing only durian peel residue after extraction. In particular, the blending configuration of durian peel residue after extraction, waste internal combustion engine oil, and activated carbon in a ratio of approximately 8:1:1 allows for the simultaneous achievement of a calorific value of approximately 21.0-21.3 MJ / kg and a significant reduction in CO2, CO, and particulate matter emissions during combustion. This invention is particularly useful for thermal combustion systems, boilers, and industrial biomass energy applications, while also contributing to reducing environmental pollution and improving waste utilization efficiency.
