Abstract

The invention proposes a multi-layer compressed foam core insulation system for engines with separate fuel tanks and a method for manufacturing this insulation system. The multi-layer compressed foam core insulation system is designed in a "sandwich" style consisting of three layers: the first layer in contact with the hot air stream limits erosion during engine operation; the middle layer is a compressive insulation foam that reduces the weight of the insulation system; the last layer in contact with the engine casing, providing good adhesion to the casing surface and bearing the compressive load for the insulation system. This structure reduces both the weight of the non-energy generating parts and the distance between the fuel and the insulation panel, thereby expanding the use of separate fuel tanks for various engine types and extending the operating life.
