Abstract

The invention relates to a benzoyl peroxide-containing composition which exhibits little change in viscosity over time and can be readily removed from the skin.The skin preparation according to the invention contains: (A) benzoyl peroxide; (B) acrylamide / sodium acryloyldimethyltaurate copolymer; (C) surfactant(s) comprising at least one substance selected from the group comprising the following items (c1), (c2), and (c3): (c1) a combination of sodium lauroyl sarcosinate and at least one anionic and / or nonionic surfactant; (c2) at least one anionic surfactant selected from the group comprising sodium lauryl sulfate, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphate, polyoxyethylene alkyl ether sulfate, and sodium lauroyl glutamate; and (c3) a combination of sodium oleate and at least one anionic and / or nonionic surfactant; and (D) at least one aqueous solvent selected from water and water-soluble solvents, this skin preparation for use by application to the affected skin area, for a predetermined time, and then removed from the affected area.
