Abstract

The invention relates to a method for creating an emulsion system from orange peel essential oil and basil seed powder (Ocimum basilicum), including: i) creating a mucilaginous mixture from basil seeds; then diluting this mucilaginous mixture with distilled water and centrifuging at 7000 rpm for 10 minutes to obtain a clear mucilaginous solution; in which the volume ratio between the basil seed mucilaginous mixture and water is 1:3; ii) precipitating the clear mucilaginous solution obtained in Step i) with ethanol solvent and incubating at 4°C for 24 hours; recovering the precipitate and freeze-drying at -50°C, and obtaining basil seed mucilaginous powder; in which the volume ratio between the mucilaginous solution and ethanol solvent is 1:1; iii) dissolving the basil seed mucilaginous powder in water; In which the mass-to-volume ratio (g / ml) between basil seed mucilage powder and water is 1:400, and mixed with orange peel essential oil at a mass ratio of 2% to 4%, an emulsion system of basil seed mucilage powder and unprocessed orange peel essential oil is obtained;and iv) perform double homogenization of the emulsion system of basil seed mucilage powder and untreated orange peel essential oil from Step iii), and obtain an emulsion system from orange peel essential oil and basil seed powder.
