Abstract

The invention relates to a device and method for establishing a steering path. Specifically, the steering path establishing device as described in the invention comprises a receiver that detects information from multiple sensors around the main vehicle, a determiner that determines whether to maintain the current steering path based on the detected information and, if it determines that a steering path change is necessary, re-searches the steering path based on the detected information, and a controller that outputs a control signal to cause the main vehicle to steer along the re-searched steering path.
