Abstract
Constructing the Lien Mac regulating dam and Lien Mac pumping station will bring water to supplement West Lake and flush the To Lich River, as well as the Nhue River. This will help reduce pollution in West Lake, bring in water from the Red River to flush out pollution in the To Lich River, flush out the Nhue River to combat pollution, and assist the Yen Xa wastewater treatment plant with its acidic wastewater. The regulating dam will also utilize the high water level of the Red River to flush both rivers without the need for electric pumps. It will also provide a new settling pond and a lotus pond for added safety. The water will be cleaner by receiving water directly from the Red River. This will avoid waste and save billions of dong in the short and long term.
