Expansion device (Dongle)

Abstract

The invention relates to an extension device (dongle) connecting an electronic device to a cable and having the function of protecting the electronic device, comprising: a first connector of the first orientation and configured for detachable connection to the electronic device; a second connector of the second orientation and configured for detachable connection to the cable, the second orientation and the first orientation including a particular angle and the second connector being electrically connected to the first connector through multiple electrical paths; and a detection device located between the first and second connectors, the detection device being configured to detect the operating state of all electrical paths between the first and second connectors, and when the operating state is abnormal, disconnecting a particular electrical path among the multiple electrical paths to cause the electronic device to cease operation.
