Abstract

The invention relates to a device (10) for continuous steaming of fabric (18), comprising a pressure vessel (1) containing steam at controlled pressure and temperature; an inlet (3) and outlet (3') of fabric from vessel (1); a series of modules (30) inside vessel (1), arranged so as to form an S-shaped path and a fabric (18) arranged in layers such that mechanical pressure, generated by a pressing device (15) which compresses all modules (30) into clamping form, is shared and transmitted evenly to all layers of fabric (18). The fabric (18) inside vessel (1) alternately performs translational steps with stopping steps and mechanical compression in the thickness direction, until it comes out to outlet (3').
