Abstract

The invention proposes a display device comprising a liquid crystal panel 3, a light source circuit board 6 on which a light source 6a for illuminating the liquid crystal panel 3 is mounted, a light guide plate 4 that directs the light emitted from the light source 6a to the liquid crystal panel 3, a frame 5 containing the liquid crystal panel 3 and the light guide plate 4, a circuit board 7 located behind the frame 5, and a metal clamp C that clamps the light source circuit board 6 to stand upright relative to the circuit board 7 and to electrically connect the light source circuit board 6 and the circuit board 7. The frame 5 has a protective cover 5i covering the metal clamp C.
