Abstract
The invention relates to a method for collecting and processing event and data streams from multiple sources performed by a computer system comprising: processor, memory, data store, events, communication channels and server interfaces and corresponding program modules, for monitoring system performance through execution graphs, detecting bottlenecks using sliding windows, forecasting short-term data, and thereby signaling system status updates through the operating interface. The method described in the invention includes: initializing an operational data model; collecting raw data from multiple channels; converting raw records into operational events; normalizing operational events; monitoring execution graphs; optimizing operations and transitioning to the next cycle.Furthermore, the invention can be applied to acquire data from multiple sources and systems, thereby standardizing information for execution graphs represented by process models, directed graphs, directed acyclic graphs, discrete event graphs, or equivalent models in production lines, supply chains, service operation systems, and enterprise information management systems.
