PROCESSING GUIDE ASSEMBLY FOR CONTINUOUS CASTING AND INTENSIVE CASTING SYSTEMS

Abstract

On the one hand, the invention relates to a strip guide assembly for a continuous casting system for the production of strip blanks, comprising strip guide rollers for guiding the strip blank on both sides, and on the other hand, relates to a continuous casting system. One aim of the invention is to create a strip guide assembly that produces the most uniform possible temperature distribution on the strip blank surface throughout the continuous casting process. This affects the temperature distribution within the strip blank and improves the quality of the final product. The aim is that the strip guide rollers of the strip guide assembly each have at least three central bearing points, of which at least two central rollers have the same length in the width direction. The two edge rollers of each strip guide roller differ in length from each other in the width direction by half the length of the central roller, including half the width of the central bearing point.Viewed in the casting direction, the adjacent strip guide rollers are symmetrically aligned across a plane running along half the overall length of the strip guide rollers in the casting direction.
