Cold plasma emitter for industrial surface treatment applications.

Abstract

The invention relates to a cold plasma generator for industrial surface treatment applications. The cold plasma generator of the invention consists of: a fixture, a gas channel, an internal electrode assembly, and an external electrode. The invention proposes two options for the internal electrode assembly: a multi-core beam electrode assembly; and a serrated hollow electrode assembly. The plasma generator of the invention allows for the creation of a large-diameter, stable, and uniformly distributed cold plasma stream, suitable for surface treatment applications such as cleaning, surface activation, adhesion enhancement, absorption enhancement, spray coating, polymerization, and functional material treatment. It is capable of integration with robotic arms or modern automated industrial lines. (Published drawing - Figure 1)
