Abstract
The invention relates to the field of construction materials, specifically a preparation and process for manufacturing high-strength, corrosion-resistant concrete for marine and coastal infrastructure projects. The distinguishing feature of the invention is the use of artificial gypsum derived from phosphogypsum waste (phosphogypsum - PG) to replace 10-60% by weight of Portland cement in the binder system, combined with silica fume, sea sand, crushed stone, polycarboxylate ether-based superplasticizer, and mixing water to create concrete with high strength, corrosion resistance, and corrosion resistance in a marine environment. The invention also proposes a corresponding manufacturing process, including steps for material preparation, metering, mixing in the appropriate sequence, slump testing of the concrete mixture, shaping, curing, and hardening under the conditions specified in the description, in order to produce concrete with a dense structure and high mechanical properties. The solution under this invention allows for the production of concrete with a compressive strength of approximately 40-60 MPa, a dense structure, and resistance to penetration by corrosive agents, especially chloride ions (Cl-) and sulfate ions (SO42-), in marine and coastal environments. The use of artificial gypsum by Truong An Hai Phong Investment Joint Stock Company to partially replace Portland cement contributes to the efficient utilization of industrial waste, reduces cement consumption, minimizes environmental impact, and aligns with the circular economy and green building materials development orientation. The product under this invention can be applied in the construction of marine and coastal infrastructure projects such as seawalls, sea embankments, jetties, ports, artificial islands, hydraulic structures, and concrete structures operating in corrosive environments, contributing to increased project lifespan, reduced maintenance costs, and expanded use of recycled materials in the construction industry.
