Abstract

Provided are a human monoclonal antibody against Nipag virus glycoprotein G and a use thereof. The antibody can specifically bind to Nipah virus envelope protein with high affinity, has effective neutralizing activity against Nipah pseudovirus having VSV as a backbone, can effectively neutralize Nipah virus at the cellular level, and can completely protect hamsters infected with Nipah virus. The antibody is directed against an epitope that is different from reported neutralizing epitopes. Thus, the antibody is expected to become a novel specific antibody drug for prevention and treatment of Nipah virus, providing more options for prevention and control of Nipah virus.
