Information processing device and method

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to an information processing device and method that make it possible to suppress unauthorized reproduction of asynchronous media.　The present disclosure stores, in a container file, media encoded data pertaining to asynchronous media and asynchronous media information indicating that the media data are asynchronous media and that parsing is essential for reproduction of the asynchronous media. The present disclosure also parses the asynchronous media information, decodes the media encoded data pertaining to the asynchronous media in accordance with the result of the parsing and a reproduction condition, renders the media data obtained by the decoding as reproduction of the asynchronous media to generate output information, and causes an output unit to output the output information. The present disclosure can be applied, for example, to an information processing device or an information processing method.
