Abstract
The invention relates to a glass container (10) production line (100) and process in which it is envisaged to carry out a plurality of production steps including a first step of heating a portion of the glass container (10) by delivering microwaves and conveying them to the portion of the glass container (10). Microwave delivery is carried out at a first power level P1 for a first time interval T1 so as to bring said portion of said glass container (10) from an ambient temperature to an intermediate temperature, and at a further power level P3, which is lower than the first power level P1, for a further time interval T3 following the first time interval T1, so as to bring said portion of said glass container (10) from said intermediate temperature to a first predetermined working temperature.
