Abstract
An information processing method according to the present disclosure: generates an occupied space object on the basis of temporally continuous point clouds obtained using a depth sensor; generates a free space object on the basis of the occupied space object; collects the occupied space object as a past occupied space object; searches for an overlapping portion between the free space object and the past occupied space object; updates the past occupied space object according to the overlapping portion; merges the occupied space object that was generated and the past occupied space object that was updated; collects the merged occupied space object that was merged as the past occupied space object; generates an environment map on the basis of the merged occupied space object; and draws the generated environment map.
