The device control method comprises: a display device (200) establishing communication with a first controlled device on the basis of a first protocol (S701); creating a second endpoint corresponding to the first controlled device, and a second service function, the second service function corresponding to a service capability supported by the first controlled device (S702); adding the second endpoint and the second service function to endpoint information (S703); once network distribution is performed with a master device (100) on the basis of a Matter protocol, providing the second endpoint and the second service function to the master device (100) (S704); and receiving a first instruction sent by the master device (100) to the first controlled device, converting the first instruction into a second instruction supporting the first protocol, and sending the second instruction to the first controlled device (S705). Therefore, the master device (100) can control a non-Matter device.
