[0046] 1. Cigarette filters

[0047] According to one aspect of the present invention, a cigarette filter comprising a paper sheet containing pulp fibers, wherein the bulk of the paper sheet is 2 to 4 cm3 / g, and the pulp fibers include at least one of a single fiber having an average coarseness of 13 mg / 100 m or more; and a mixed fiber including sub-pulp fibers and regenerated fibers; Provided is a cigarette filter. When a conventional crimped paper filter is applied to a mouth end (ME), there is a problem that the appearance is inferior to that of a cellulose acetate filter due to irregular or uneven holes between the folds of the paper. According to one aspect of the present invention, by including the freeness (high degree of fineness), which has a major influence on the bulk of the paper sheet, the average coarseness in the single fiber, and the regenerated fiber in the mixed fiber, a cigarette filter having uniform holes and a regular cross-sectional shape can be implemented when the paper sheet is crimped. Accordingly, the present invention can implement a smoking article having excellent appearance and can deliver a clean image to the user.

[0048] Hereinafter, the configuration of the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the drawings.

[0049] FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of a paper sheet included in a cigarette filter according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0050] Referring to Fig. 1, the paper sheet (100) according to the present invention can maintain a crimped structure in a cigarette filter. When this crimped paper sheet (100) is unwound, it can be transformed into a sheet-shaped paper filter (Fig. 1 (a)).

[0051] The paper sheet (100) according to the present invention includes pulp fibers (10a). Here, the pulp fibers (10a) may include at least one of single fibers and mixed fibers.

[0052] A single fiber according to the present invention may refer to a fiber composed of one or more types of raw pulp, either wood or vegetation. Specifically, the single fiber may refer to individual fiber strands forming a pulp fiber.

[0053] The mixed fiber according to the present invention may mean a fiber that includes sub-pulp fiber as a raw material, but may additionally include regenerated fiber. For example, the content of the sub-pulp fiber based on the total weight of the mixed fiber may be 50 wt% or more, 51 wt% or more, 52 wt% or more, 53 wt% or more, 54 wt% or more, 55 wt% or more, 56 wt% or more, 57 wt% or more, 58 wt% or more, 59 wt% or more, 60 wt% or more, 61 wt% or more, 62 wt% or more, 63 wt% or more, 64 wt% or more, 65 wt% or more, 66 wt% or more, 67 wt% or more, 68 wt% or more, 69 wt% or more, 70 wt% or more, 71 wt% or more, 72 wt% or more, 73 wt% or more, 74 wt% or more, 75 wt% or more, 76 wt% or more, 77 wt% or more, 78 wt% or more, 79 wt% or more, or 80 wt% or more. Specifically, the sub-pulp fibers may be the same as or different from the single fibers. For example, the regenerated fibers may include at least one of rayon and lyocell, and specifically may include rayon.

[0054] Meanwhile, the bulk of a paper sheet is the thickness value relative to the basis weight of the paper sheet. Generally, as the porosity of a paper sheet increases, its bulk also tends to increase. In the present invention, the bulk of a paper sheet may be a key factor influencing the appearance of the cross-section of the filter when the paper sheet is crimped.

[0055] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the bulk of the paper sheet is 2 cm 3 / g or more, 2.1 cm 3 / g or more, 2.2cm 3 / g or more, 2.3 cm 3 / g or more, 2.4 cm 3 / g or more, 2.5 cm 3 / g or more, 2.6 cm 3 / g or more, 2.7 cm 3 / g or more, 2.8 cm 3 / g or more, 2.9 cm 3 / g or more, 3.0 cm 3 / g or more, 3.1 cm 3 / g or more, 3.2 cm 3 / g or more, 3.3 cm 3 / g or more, 3.4 cm 3 / g or more, 3.5 cm 3 / g or more, 3.6 cm 3 / g or more, 3.7 cm 3 / g or more, 3.8 cm 3 / g or more, or 3.9 cm 3 / g or more; or, 4.0 cm 3 / g or less, 3.9 cm 3 / g or less, 3.8 cm 3 / g or less, 3.7 cm 3 / g or less, 3.6 cm 3 / g or less, 3.5 cm 3 / g or less, 3.4 cm 3 / g or less, 3.3 cm 3 / g or less, 3.2 cm 3 / g or less, 3.1 cm 3 / g or less, 3.0 cm 3 / g or less, 2.9 cm 3 / g or less, 2.8 cm 3 / g or less, 2.7 cm 3 / g or less, 2.6 cm 3 / g or less, 2.5 cm 3 / g or less, 2.4 cm 3 / g or less, 2.3 cm 3 / g or less, 2.2 cm 3 / g or less, or 2.1 cm 3 / g or less; or any numerical range in which any one of the plurality of lower limit values and any one of the plurality of upper limit values are set as the lower limit value and the upper limit value, respectively; Specifically, the bulk of the paper sheet is 2 to 4 cm 3 / g, 2.1 to 3.0 cm 3 / g, 2.14 to 2.9 cm 3 / g, 2.14 to 2.61 cm 3 / g, 2.5 to 2.61 cm 3 / g or 2.53 to 2.61 cm 3 / g may be. According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the bulk of the paper sheet is outside the above numerical range, when the paper sheet is crimped, a problem may arise in which the appearance of the filter deteriorates due to irregular and uneven holes. For example, even if the average roughness of a single fiber satisfies 13 mg / 100 m or more, when the bulk of the paper sheet is outside the above numerical range due to the water content being outside the appropriate level, a problem in which the appearance of the filter cross-section deteriorates due to irregular or uneven holes between the folds of the paper may arise.

[0056] Figure 2 is a flow chart showing a method for manufacturing a paper sheet according to one embodiment of the present invention.

[0057] Referring to FIG. 2, the method for manufacturing a paper sheet according to the present invention may include (S1) a step of preparing raw fibers; (S2) a step of dissociating and beating the raw fibers; and (S3) a step of manufacturing a paper sheet using the dissociated and beating raw fibers using a paper machine.

[0058] Meanwhile, dissociation is the process of completely separating raw fibers by stirring with water, and beating refers to the process of applying force to the dissociated raw fibers in water to cut and split them to a certain degree to give them papermaking properties, thereby finely fiberizing them. The characteristics of the finely fiberized pulp fibers can vary due to differences in the dissociation and beating methods and degrees, which can ultimately affect the structure and physical properties of the paper sheet. The more beating, the higher the freeness, and the less beating, the lower the freeness. Here, the freeness is an indicator that quantitatively determines how much the fibers have been refined. Pulp fibers manufactured with a high freeness can increase the strength of the paper, and the bonding of the fiber strands increases, allowing for the production of dense and relatively strong paper. On the other hand, pulp fibers manufactured with a low freeness can produce relatively soft paper by lowering the density of the fiber strands.

[0059] Specifically, in the above step (S1), the raw material fiber may be a fiber that becomes the raw material of pulp fiber, which will be described later, before being microfiberized. That is, depending on how much the raw material fiber is microfiberized, the bulk and porosity of the paper sheet may vary, and the appearance of the paper sheet may vary when applied to a smoking article. More specifically, the raw material fiber may be a fiber derived from wood or plants before being microfiberized; or a fiber before being microfiberized of a mixed fiber including sub-pulp fiber and regenerated fiber.

[0060] According to some embodiments of the present invention, in the process of beating the raw fiber, the freeness may be less than 20˚SR, 19˚SR or less, 18˚SR or less, 17˚SR or less, 16˚SR or less, 15˚SR or less, 14˚SR or less, or 13.5˚SR or less. Specifically, in the process of beating the raw pulp, the freeness may be 10˚SR or more and less than 20˚SR, 13 to 19˚SR, 13 to 18˚SR, 13 to 17˚SR, 13 to 16˚SR, 13 to 15˚SR, 13 to 14˚SR, or 13 to 13.5˚SR. According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the water content satisfies the numerical range during the process of refining the raw material fiber, the bulk performance of the paper sheet is also improved, so that a porous structure can be formed, and at the same time, when the paper sheet is crimped, the appearance of the cross-section of the filter can be improved.

[0061] The pulp fiber according to the present invention is a fiber strand distributed within the final product, a paper sheet, and may be a fiber that has been finely fiberized through a dissociation and refining process.

[0062] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the pulp fibers include at least one of a single fiber having an average coarseness of 13 mg / 100 m or more; and a mixed fiber including sub-pulp fibers and regenerated fibers. Here, the average coarseness refers to the average mass per unit length of the fibers.

[0063] Specifically, the average coarseness of the single fiber is 13 mg / 100m or more, 14 mg / 100m or more, 15 mg / 100m or more, 16 mg / 100m or more, 17 mg / 100m or more, 18 mg / 100m or more, 19 mg / 100m or more, 20 mg / 100m or more, 21 mg / 100m or more, 22 mg / 100m or more, 23 mg / 100m or more, 24 mg / 100m or more, 25 mg / 100m or more, 26 mg / 100m or more, 27 mg / 100m or more, or 28 mg / 100m or more; or 40 mg / 100 m or less, 39 mg / 100 m or less, 38 mg / 100 m or less, 37 mg / 100 m or less, 36 mg / 100 m or less, 35 mg / 100 m or less, 34 mg / 100 m or less, 33 mg / 100 m or less, 32 mg / 100 m or less, 31 mg / 100 m or less, 30 mg / 100 m or less, 29 mg / 100 m or less, or 28 mg / 100 m or less; or any range of values having any one of the plurality of lower limit values and any one of the plurality of upper limit values as the lower limit value and the upper limit value, respectively. More specifically, the average roughness of the single fiber may be 13 mg / 100 m or more, 13 to 29 mg / 100 m, 14 to 29 mg / 100 m, 15 to 28 mg / 100 m, 16 to 28 mg / 100 m, 17 to 28 mg / 100 m, 18 to 28 mg / 100 m, 19 to 28 mg / 100 m, 20 to 28 mg / 100 m, 21 to 28 mg / 100 m, 22 to 28 mg / 100 m, 23 to 28 mg / 100 m, 24 to 28 mg / 100 m, 25 to 28 mg / 100 m, 26 to 28 mg / 100 m, or 27 to 28 mg / 100 m.

[0064] According to one aspect of the present invention, since the average roughness of the single fiber satisfies the above numerical range, when the paper sheet is crimped, a cigarette filter having uniform holes and a regular cross-sectional shape can be implemented. Accordingly, the present invention can implement a smoking article with excellent appearance and an effect of conveying a clean image to the user. Meanwhile, the roughness of the fiber is one of the characteristics of natural fibers such as wood and plants, and the higher the roughness, the more bulky the paper sheet can exhibit. If the roughness is low, the number of points where the fibers come into contact with each other and form hydrogen bonds increases, which can reduce the porosity of the paper sheet, increase the tensile strength, and form an entangled structure between the fibers.

[0065] For example, the average roughness of the single fiber can be analyzed in accordance with the KS M ISO 9184-6:1994 test standard.

[0066] According to some embodiments of the present invention, by satisfying the organic combination relationship between the above-mentioned range of the degree of freedom and the average roughness range of the single fiber, a cigarette filter having uniform perforations and a regular cross-sectional shape can be realized when the paper sheet is crimped. Accordingly, the present invention can realize a smoking article with excellent external appearance, thereby conveying a clean image to the user.

[0067] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the papermaking machine in step (S3) may be a typical papermaking machine or paper machine commercially available in the relevant technical field. When raw fibers subjected to steps (S1) and (S2) are used, the paper sheet can exhibit excellent cross-sectional aesthetics when crimped.

[0068] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the content of the single fiber may be 70 wt% or more based on the total weight of the paper sheet, and specifically, may be 70 to 100 wt%, 70 to 99 wt%, 72 to 90 wt%, 73 to 86 wt%, 74 to 84 wt%, 75 to 83 wt%, 76 to 82 wt%, 77 to 81 wt%, or 78 to 80 wt%. According to some embodiments of the present invention, since the content of the single fiber satisfies the numerical range, the manufacturing workability of the paper sheet can be improved, and when the paper sheet is crimped, a cigarette filter having uniform holes and a regular cross-sectional shape can be implemented.

[0069] As described above, the mixed fiber according to the present invention includes sub-pulp fibers and regenerated fibers.

[0070] Specifically, the sub-pulp fiber may be a pulp fiber derived from wood or vegetation. For example, the wood or vegetation is not particularly limited and may be a raw material for manufacturing paper sheets in the relevant technical field. Specifically, the wood may be an evergreen, broad-leaved tree, coniferous tree, etc., and the vegetation may be bamboo, hemp, flax, etc. More specifically, the wood may include one or more of southern pine, mixed softwood, Cedrus, hardwood, and softwood. However, the technical idea of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various woods and / or vegetation may be used.

[0071] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the sub-pulp fibers may include pulp fibers derived from evergreen trees. Specifically, by mixing sub-pulp fibers derived from evergreen trees with regenerated fibers, a cigarette filter having uniform pores and a regular cross-sectional shape can be realized when the paper sheet is crimped. For example, the evergreen tree may be southern pine, and the regenerated fibers may include at least one of rayon and lyocell, and specifically, rayon. Here, when the regenerated fibers are rayon, the bulk of the paper sheet can be adjusted to an appropriate level, thereby further improving the appearance of the cigarette filter.

[0072] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the weight ratio of the sub-pulp fibers and the regenerated fibers (sub-pulp fibers: regenerated fibers) may be 9:1 to 5:5, specifically 8:2 to 6:4, and more specifically 8:2 to 7:3. According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the weight ratio of the sub-pulp fibers and the regenerated fibers satisfies the above numerical range, a cigarette filter having uniform holes and a regular cross-sectional shape when the paper sheet is crimped can be implemented.

[0073] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the average length of the pulp fibers may be 2 to 6 mm, 3 to 5 mm, or 4 to 5 mm. Specifically, by satisfying the average length of the pulp fibers within the above numerical range, the contact between the fibers in the fiber suspension during the manufacturing process of the paper sheet can be adjusted to an appropriate level, thereby changing the degree of freedom. Accordingly, the bulk and porosity of the paper sheet can also be affected, and accordingly, the appearance of the paper sheet can be changed when applied to a filter in a crimped state.

[0074] Meanwhile, the basis weight of a paper sheet is the weight per unit area of the paper sheet (g / m). 2=gsm), which can affect the bulk value of the paper sheet and thus the appearance of the paper sheet when it is crimped.

[0075] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the basis weight of the paper sheet is 20 gsm or more, 21 gsm or more, 22 gsm or more, 23 gsm or more, 24 gsm or more, 25 gsm or more, 26 gsm or more, 27 gsm or more, 28 gsm or more, 29 gsm or more, 30 gsm or more, 31 gsm or more, 32 gsm or more, 33 gsm or more, 34 gsm or more, 35 gsm or more, 36 gsm or more, 37 gsm or more, 38 gsm or more, 39 gsm or more, 40 gsm or more, 41 gsm or more, 42 gsm or more, 43 gsm or more, 44 gsm or more, 45 gsm or more, 46 gsm or more, 47 gsm or more, 48 gsm or more, 49 gsm or more, 50 gsm or more, 51 gsm or more, 52 gsm or more, 53 gsm or more, 54 gsm or more, 55 gsm or more, 56 gsm or more, 57 gsm or more, 58 gsm or more, or 59 gsm or more; 60 gsm or less, 59 gsm or less, 58 gsm or less, 57 gsm or less, 56 gsm or less, 55 gsm or less, 54 gsm or less, 53 gsm or less, 52 gsm or less, 51 gsm or less, 50 gsm or less, 49 gsm or less, 48 gsm or less, 47 gsm or less, 46 gsm or less, 45 gsm or less, 44 gsm or less, 43 gsm or less, 42 gsm or less, 41 gsm or less, 40 gsm or less, 39 gsm or less, 38 gsm or less, 37 gsm or less, 36 gsm or less, 35 gsm or less, 34 gsm or less, 33 gsm or less, 32 gsm or less, 31 gsm or less, 30 gsm or less, 29 gsm or less, 28 gsm or less, 27 gsm or less, 26 gsm or less, 25 gsm or less, 24 gsm or less, 23 gsm or less, 22 gsm or less, or 21 gsm or less; or any range of values having any one of the plurality of lower limit values and any one of the plurality of upper limit values as the lower limit value and the upper limit value, respectively;It can be. Specifically, the basis weight of the paper sheet can be 20 to 60 gsm, 25 to 55 gsm, 30 to 50 gsm, or 35 to 45 gsm. According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the basis weight of the paper sheet satisfies the numerical range, the bulk properties of the paper sheet are effectively controlled, thereby improving the appearance of the cigarette filter.;

[0076] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the thickness of the paper sheet may be 50 to 150 μm, 60 to 140 μm, 70 to 130 μm, 80 to 120 μm, 90 to 110 μm, or 100 to 110 μm. If the thickness of the paper sheet is less than the above numerical range, the achievable level of suction resistance may become too low or problems may occur during the manufacturing process due to tearing of the paper sheet, and if the thickness of the paper sheet exceeds the above numerical range, a bursting phenomenon may occur during the manufacturing process of the filter or a suction resistance so high that the suckability of the smoking article may be impaired. In addition, if the thickness of the paper sheet is outside the above numerical range, problems such as single yarn or circumference defects of the paper may occur during the manufacturing of a cigarette filter.

[0077] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the air permeability of the paper sheet may be 500 to 10,000 CU, 600 to 9,000 CU, 700 to 8,000 CU, 800 to 7,000 CU, 900 to 6,000 CU, 900 to 5,000 CU, 900 to 4,000 CU, or 925 to 3,950 CU in accordance with ISO 2965. According to some embodiments of the present invention, when the air permeability of the paper sheet satisfies the numerical range, an appropriate level of filtration performance is satisfied, and at the same time, when the paper sheet is crimped, a cross-section having uniform holes is formed, thereby improving the appearance of the filter.

[0078] According to some embodiments of the present invention, a moisturizer may be applied to at least a portion of the surface of the paper sheet to achieve a desired level of pressure drop. Here, the pressure drop may refer to the resistance of air felt by a user when biting a smoking article and inhaling air. Since the satisfaction felt by the user while smoking may vary depending on the pressure drop, there is a need to achieve a target pressure drop. For example, the moisturizer may include at least one of glycerin, guar gum, starch, methyl cellulose, ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA), gum arabic, and propylene glycol. For example, the content of the moisturizer applied to at least a portion of the surface of the paper sheet may be 0.5 mg / mm to 5 mg / mm.

[0079] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the cigarette filter may further include granules to enhance the bonding strength between the moisturizer and the paper sheet. Specifically, the granules are introduced and placed on the surface of the paper sheet, thereby enhancing the bonding strength between the moisturizer and the paper sheet. For example, the granules may include a coating layer formed on their surface to prevent them from breaking or shattering due to external impact. In one example, the coating layer comprises microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous lactose, Cellactose 80 (co-processed 75% microcrystalline cellulose and 25% lactose), Isomalt, dibasic dihydrate calcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, calcium lactate, dibasic anhydrous calcium phosphate, tribasic calcium phosphate, calcium silicate, calcium sulfate, carbomer, calcium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, cellulose, silicified microcrystalline cellulose, cellulose acetate, ceratonia, Copovidone, Corn starch, Pregelatinized starch, Dextrate, Dextrin, Dextrose, Erythritol, Ethylcellulose, Fructose, Fumaric acid, Glyceryl monooleate, Glyceryl monostearate, Glyceryl palmitostearate, Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Hydroxyethylmethyl cellulose, Hydroxypropyl betadexHydroxypropyl cellulose, hydroxypropyl starch, hypromellose, hypromellose acetate succinate, kaolin, lactitol, anhydrous lactose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium oxide, maltitol, maltodextrin, maltose, mannitol, methylcellulose, polaxamer, polycarbophil, polydextrose, poly(DL-lactic acid), polyethylene glycol, polyethylene oxide, polymethacrylate, polyoxyglyceride, polyvinyl alcohol, povidone, shellac, simethicone, sodium alginate, sodium chloride, sorbitol, starch, sucrose, sugar spheres, sulfobutyl ether B-cyclodextrin, It may include at least one of titanium dioxide, trehalose, microcrystalline wax, white wax, yellow wax, xanthan gum, xylitol, beeswax, candelilla, carnauba, caraway, sugarcane wax, myrtle wax, gum arabic, locust bean wax, guar gum, alginate, carrageenan and pectin.

[0080] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the paper sheet is formed by rolling into a cylindrical shape, and may have a circumference of 20 to 25 mm. For example, the paper sheet may be formed by rolling paper crimped by crimping the paper base, or may be manufactured by rolling the paper base so that it becomes a cylindrical shape when rolled. In this case, the circumference of the paper sheet may be the circumference of the bottom surface after being rolled into a cylindrical shape.

[0081] According to some embodiments of the present invention, the void area ratio with respect to the cross-section of the cigarette filter may be 19% or less, 18% or less, 17% or less, 16% or less, 15% or less, 14% or less, 13% or less, 12% or less, 11% or less, 10% or less, 9% or less, 8% or less, 7% or less, 6% or less, 5% or less, or 4.3% or less. According to some embodiments of the present invention, since the void area ratio of the cigarette filter satisfies the numerical range, when the paper sheet is crimped, a cigarette filter having uniform holes and a regular cross-section shape can be implemented. Accordingly, the present invention can implement a smoking article having excellent appearance and can implement an effect of conveying a clean image to the user. For example, the void area ratio for the cross-section of the cigarette filter is the ratio of the area of the void space not occupied by the paper sheet when the total area of the filter cross-section is 100, and can be calculated by taking a surface image, shading the void space, and measuring the ratio of the white color area (paper) and the black color area (void).

[0127] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail so that those skilled in the art can easily implement the present invention. However, this is merely an example, and the scope of the present invention is not limited by the following contents.

[0128] [Experimental Example 1: Evaluation of the Appearance of Cigarette Filters According to the Control of the Water Content and Illumination Intensity]

[0129] Raw fibers of various origins were dissociated and refined. During the refining process, the freeness of the raw fibers was adjusted to the values shown in Table 1 below. The dissociated and refined raw fibers were dried using a conventional drying process and then manufactured into paper sheets using a paper machine. Then, cigarette filters were manufactured using filter paper wrapped around the paper sheets.

[0130] The sensory evaluation was conducted using the Difference Identification Test-Characteristic Difference Test-Ranking Method and the Rating Method, and 13 sensory panelists used a 5-point scale to evaluate the superiority of the cross-sectional attractiveness of cigarette filters. Specifically, an average score for filter attractiveness of 4 to 5 points was evaluated as "very good," 3 to 4 points as "good," 2 to 3 points as "average," and 2 points or less as "poor."

[0131] Classification Fiber Raw Material Fiber Average Roughness (mg / 100m) Yeosudo (˚SR) Paper Sheet Bulk 1) (cm 3 / g)Porosity (CU)Filter FinenessExample 1Single fiber Southern Pine 2813.52.613,9504Example 2Single fiber Mixed softwood 1813.52.539254Example 3Single fiber Cedar 1413.52.285223Example 4Single fiber Southern Pine 2815.52.141,8403Comparative Example 1Single fiber Southern Pine 2820.01.857601Comparative Example 2Mixed fiber Hardwood 50wt% + Softwood 50wt% 1128.51.5537511) Bulk of paper sheet = (Thickness of paper sheet / Basis weight of paper sheet)

[0132] Referring to Table 1 above, it can be confirmed that the average roughness of a single fiber varies depending on the origin of the pulp fiber. Both the origin of the pulp fiber and the degree of refining (the degree of refining) can influence the achievement of superior bulk performance in paper sheets. The experimental results above demonstrate that simultaneously controlling the degree of refining and the average roughness of a single fiber during the paper sheet manufacturing process can alter the aesthetic appeal of the cross-section of the filter.

[0133] Specifically, when the average coarseness of a single fiber is the same, Comparative Example 1 and Example 1 are compared from the viewpoint of the freeness, even if the average coarseness of a single fiber satisfies 13 mg / 100 m or more, the freeness becomes higher than 20˚SR, so that the bulk of the paper sheet is 2 to 4 cm. 3 It can be confirmed that / g is not satisfied. Through this, it can be confirmed that in the case of Comparative Example 1, the aesthetic performance is deteriorated due to irregular or uneven holes between the paper folds when the paper sheet is crimped. On the other hand, in the case of Example 1, it can be confirmed that the aesthetic performance of the cross-section of the filter is significantly improved as the average roughness of the single fiber satisfies 13mg / 100m or more and the freeness is controlled to less than 20˚SR.

[0134] In the case of Comparative Example 2, since the average roughness of a single fiber is less than 13 mg / 100 m and the water content is adjusted high, the bulk and porosity of the paper sheet are significantly reduced, which may significantly deteriorate the filter aesthetic performance.

[0135] On the other hand, examples 1 to 4 have a bulk of paper sheets of 2 to 4 cm. 3 / g and the average coarseness of a single fiber is 13mg / 100m or more, it can be confirmed that the cross-section appearance performance of the filter is improved. Here, the bulk of the paper sheet may vary depending on the water content.

[0136] When comparing Examples 1 to 3 in terms of filter aesthetics according to the average roughness of a single fiber under identical conditions of the water content, it can be confirmed that as the average roughness of a single fiber increases, the bulk of the paper sheet and the porosity of the paper sheet also increase. In light of this tendency, it can be confirmed that the filter aesthetics are further improved when the average roughness of a single fiber is 18 to 28 mg / 100 m.

[0137] [Experimental Example 2: Cross-sectional cavity area ratio of cigarette filters]

[0138] Figure 8 shows the cavity area ratio of the cross-section of a cigarette filter according to Example 1. Figure 9 shows the cavity area ratio of the cross-section of a cigarette filter according to Comparative Example 1. The cavity area of the cross-section of the cigarette filter was analyzed. Here, the cavity is indicated in black.

[0139] Referring to FIGS. 8 and 9, it can be confirmed that the cross-sectional void area ratio of the cigarette filter according to Example 1 is 4.3%, and the cross-sectional void area ratio of the cigarette filter according to Comparative Example 1 is 19.9%. Through this, it can be inferred that a filter with excellent appearance can be implemented by lowering the cross-sectional void area ratio of the cigarette filter.

[0140] [Experimental Example 3: Reference data demonstrating the particle removal ability of paper sheets compared to CA filters]

[0141] 1) A step of measuring the amount of smoke components transferred from a cigarette without a cigarette filter; 2) A step of measuring the amount of smoke components transferred from a cigarette with a cigarette filter attached under the same conditions; 3) A step of calculating the smoke components removed from the filter, which is the difference between the amount of smoke components transferred in 1) and the amount of smoke components transferred in 2); and 4) A step of calculating the removal ability by calculating the ratio of 3) to 1); The removal ability was derived through these steps.

[0143] Referring to Table 2 above, it can be confirmed that the paper sheet has a significantly higher removal ability for particulate matter, tar, and nicotine than the cellulose acetate tow filter.

[0144] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications and improvements made by those skilled in the art using the basic concept of the present invention defined in the following claims also fall within the scope of the present invention.
