Description

[0001] work platform

[0002] The present invention relates, among other things, to a work platform and an arrangement of a work platform on a slope of reinforced earth. The work platform can additionally or alternatively be designed or function as a protective scaffold and / or safety scaffold.

[0003] Reinforced earth is used to construct dams and retaining structures in road and landscaping. Reinforcement grids, geotextiles if required, and soil material are combined to form a composite system with high load-bearing capacity. The resulting embankment has a gradient that exceeds the friction angle of the soil material, so reinforced earth structures typically have slope angles of 60° or more.

[0004] Such systems are usually constructed in layers, with each layer potentially reaching a height of up to 60 cm. Reinforcement elements are typically made of steel mesh pre-bent into a wedge shape, with the corresponding wedge angle corresponding to the desired slope angle. After the reinforcement elements are in place, the soil material is piled up and compacted. Furthermore, the surface is typically covered with a geotextile before the next layer is formed in the same way.

[0005] When erecting such structures, fall protection is required for occupational safety reasons, especially if the potential fall height exceeds 2 m. While fall protection systems for reinforced earth structures are known in the art, they are often time-consuming to install, so in practice, makeshift solutions are often used that usually do not provide the necessary safety.

[0006] Furthermore, the construction of reinforced earth structures may require work in the embankment area or at the edge of the slope. For this purpose, the installation of a work surface or platform is required. Conventional fall protection systems cannot be used as a work surface for regulatory and / or practical reasons.

[0007] One object of the present invention can be seen in making the construction of a reinforced earth structure safer and more efficient. In particular, this involves providing a work platform for use on the slope surface of reinforced earth, which simultaneously serves as a fall protection device. This work platform should preferably be easy to install and transport. If necessary, the work platform should be movable in its entirety, i.e., as a module, and with a lifting device, which, among other things, enables easy installation and prevents individual components from falling.

[0008] These and other tasks can be solved in particular with the work platform described here.

[0009] The work platform comprises, in particular, two consoles, a platform surface, and a fall protection device projecting from the platform surface. The fall protection device may form the lower section of a railing. The platform surface typically has a working depth of at least 100 cm.

[0010] Each of the brackets can comprise a stage leg that supports the stage surface and a mounting leg. Optionally, the two legs are arranged substantially orthogonally to each other. A suspension hook can be provided on the mounting leg, particularly at its upper end. Furthermore, a support member for supporting the bracket on the embankment surface can be provided on the mounting leg, particularly at its lower end.

[0011] The suspension hook is particularly designed to be suspended from a suspension part arranged on the slope surface. A section of the suspension part is inserted into a suspension area of the suspension hook.

[0012] The two brackets can further comprise a securing part designed to close off the suspension area or to secure the section of the suspension part inserted into the suspension area in the suspension area. For this purpose, the securing part has, in particular, a securing leg.

[0013] If necessary, the securing part is pivotally mounted on the fastening leg, allowing it to be moved into a locked position and a released position. In the locked position, the securing leg can completely close off the hooking area, while in the released position, the securing leg can at least partially expose the hooking area, thus allowing the hooking hook to be removed.

[0014] The securing part is particularly designed such that the securing leg can freely swing over or pivot into the hooking area when no hooking part is arranged in the hooking area. This allows, among other things, the position of the securing part to be monitored. In particular, the securing part has a position indicator that indicates the position of the securing part. The position indicator can be a section of the securing part that, when the securing part is correctly positioned, i.e., in particular, when the securing part is in the locked position, is aligned parallel to a corresponding section of the hooking hook.

[0015] It can be provided that the center of gravity of the securing part is located below the pivot axis of the securing part in the operating position of the work platform. Furthermore, it can be provided that the horizontal distance between the center of gravity of the securing part and the suspension hook in the locked position is greater than the horizontal distance between the pivot axis of the securing part and the suspension hook when the work platform is in the operating position. The operating position refers in particular to the position of the work platform in which the platform surface is essentially horizontally aligned.

[0016] The securing part may additionally have a locking device to hold the securing part in the locked position. The locking device may be formed from or comprise a locking pin, which is guided into corresponding recesses in the securing part.

[0017] A lifting section can be provided on the securing part to enable the work platform to be lifted using a lifting device, for example, a crane hook. The lifting section is particularly designed such that the securing part pivots into the release position when the work platform is lifted using the lifting section. Additional attachment points can also be provided on the work platform for engaging a lifting device. The attachment points and lifting section can be designed together to enable the work platform to be lifted using a 4-strand chain sling.

[0018] The support element can be adjustable on the mounting leg. If necessary, the support element can have a T-shape.

[0019] The stage leg can be arranged at any suitable position on the fastening leg, in particular in the area of the suspension hook or in the area of the support part.

[0020] The suspension element can be attached to the reinforcement grid of a reinforced soil. The reinforced soil can contain soil material in addition to the reinforcement grid, as well as a geotextile arranged between the reinforcement grid and the soil material. The suspension element can have two fastening legs and a centrally located suspension loop. The fastening legs can hold the suspension element in the reinforcement grid, while the suspension loop protrudes from the reinforcement grid and is available for attaching the suspension hooks of the work platform. The distance between two suspension loops essentially corresponds to the distance between the two suspension hooks of the work platform.

[0021] If necessary, the geotextile can be arranged between the fastening legs and the reinforcement grid. If necessary, the fastening legs can be arranged between the geotextile and the reinforcement grid. In the latter case, additional hooks can be provided for further fastening the suspension element, into which the fastening legs or the suspension element are hooked. The additional hooks run, in particular, transversely to the fastening legs.

[0022] The reinforcement grids of the reinforced soil can be wedge-shaped, with the wedge angle corresponding to the slope angle. The wedge angle can be between 60° and 90°. The reinforcement grids are typically made of structural steel mesh.

[0023] During the reinforced soil formation process, the reinforcement grid is placed in the desired position. The suspension pieces can then be positioned in the desired position, after which a geotextile can be positioned on the inside of the reinforcement grid. Alternatively, the geotextile can be positioned on the inside of the reinforcement grid before the suspension pieces are placed. In this case, the suspension pieces penetrate the geotextile. Finally, the soil material can be arranged in the area between the reinforcement grid and geotextile and compacted if necessary to form a layer of reinforced soil. A layer can have a height of 30 cm to 70 cm, for example, approximately 40 cm or approximately 60 cm.

[0024] The work platform described here can be suspended from the suspension parts provided.

[0025] The suspension elements can be positioned near the bottom edge of a layer of reinforced soil, i.e., less than 20 cm from the bottom edge of this layer. In this case, the support elements can support the work platform against the underlying layer of reinforced soil. If necessary, the distance between the upper edge of the top layer of reinforced soil and the platform surface, i.e., the potential fall height, is less than 200 cm.

[0026] In particular, a working platform for arrangement on an embankment surface of reinforced earth is described, wherein the embankment surface has a slope inclination between 60° and 90°, wherein the working platform comprises two consoles and a stage surface, wherein the stage surface has a working depth of at least 100 cm and wherein the stage surface is delimited by a fall protection protruding at an angle from the stage surface.

[0027] The brackets can each comprise a platform leg with a platform surface arranged thereon and a mounting leg. The mounting leg can comprise a suspension hook for suspending the bracket from a suspension part arranged on the embankment surface, so that the suspension part is arranged in a suspension area of the suspension hook, and a support part arranged remotely from the suspension hook for supporting the work platform on the surface.

[0028] If necessary, it is provided that a securing part which is pivotably mounted about a pivot axis is arranged on the fastening leg and which comprises a securing leg pointing in the direction of the suspension hook, wherein the securing leg closes off the suspension area in a locking position of the securing part.

[0029] Where appropriate, the centre of gravity of the safety part in the locked position is below the pivot axis of the safety part when the work platform is in the operating position.

[0030] If necessary, it is provided that the securing part comprises a lifting section for engagement of a lifting device, such as a crane hook.

[0031] If necessary, additional attachment points are provided on the work platform for the engagement of a lifting device, for example, for lifting with a 4-leg chain sling. If necessary, the lifting section is arranged in such a way that the safety part on the lifting section pivots into a release position when the work platform is raised, so that the safety leg releases the suspension area.

[0032] If necessary, it is provided that the support part is adjustably arranged on the fastening leg and / or that the support part is T-shaped.

[0033] Where appropriate, the fastening leg is arranged substantially orthogonally to the stage leg.

[0034] If necessary, it is provided that at least one locking device is provided on the safety part, which can limit or prevent pivoting of the safety part in the direction of the release position.

[0035] If necessary, it is provided that the safety part is designed in such a way that the safety leg swings over into the suspension area when the suspension part is not arranged in the suspension area in the operating position of the work platform and thereby indicates in particular an incorrect positioning of the work platform.

[0036] If appropriate, the stage area may comprise several sections, with the sections running transversely to the extension of the stage legs, and / or a folding device, in particular a hinge, may be provided for folding the fall protection and, if appropriate, the railing toward the stage area. If appropriate, the height of the railing on which the fall protection can be arranged may be less than or equal to the working depth of the stage area.

[0037] Where appropriate, the fall protection is designed to be closed at least up to a height of 50 cm from the platform surface. Where appropriate, the fall protection forms the lower section of a railing, with the railing having a height of at least 100 cm. Where appropriate, the work platform is designed or functions additionally as a protective scaffold and / or safety scaffold.

[0038] An arrangement of a work platform with the aforementioned features on a slope of reinforced earth with a gradient between 60° and 90°, in particular between 65° and 80°, is also described. The slope can be formed by a reinforcement grid of the reinforced earth, with suspension parts provided on the reinforcement grid into which the suspension hooks of the work platform are hooked.

[0039] Optionally, it is provided that the reinforced soil is formed from several layers, wherein the layers comprise a, in particular wedge-shaped, reinforcement grid, soil material and optionally a geotextile arranged between the reinforcement grid and the soil material (22).

[0040] If necessary, it is intended that one layer has a height of up to 60 cm.

[0041] Optionally, it is provided that the suspension parts comprise a suspension loop and fastening legs arranged on both sides of the suspension loop, wherein the suspension loops project from the surface, wherein preferably each of the fastening legs spans at least four bars of the support grid.

[0042] Where appropriate, the fastening legs are arranged between the reinforcement grid and the geotextile, with the fastening legs also being held to the reinforcement grid by additional hooks.

[0043] If necessary, the geotextile is arranged between the fastening legs and the reinforcement grid, with the suspension loop penetrating the geotextile.

[0044] Where appropriate, the securing legs are designed to rest against the attachment parts, particularly the attachment loops. Where appropriate, the center of gravity of the securing parts is designed to be below the pivot axis in the locked position, with the normal distance between the pivot axis and the attachment part being smaller than the normal distance between the center of gravity and the attachment part.

[0045] Where appropriate, the suspension elements are arranged in the uppermost layer of the reinforced soil or in the layer directly adjacent to the uppermost layer, and / or the vertical distance between the surface of the reinforced soil and the platform surface, i.e., the drop height, is less than 200 cm. In particular, the suspension elements rest on a horizontal section of the reinforcement grid, i.e., they are arranged in the lower part of a layer.

[0046] A method for using a work platform with the features described herein for forming a slope of reinforced earth with a horizontal gradient of between 60° and 90°, in particular between 65° and 80°, is also described. The method may comprise the following steps:

[0047] - Arranging the suspension parts on the embankment surface,

[0048] - Hanging the work platform with its hooks in the suspension parts, with the safety parts in a release position, and

[0049] - Moving the safety parts into the locked position.

[0050] Where appropriate, it is provided that the embankment surface is formed by a reinforcement grid of reinforced earth, whereby the reinforced earth is formed by

[0051] - Arranging the reinforcement grid,

[0052] - Arranging the suspension parts on the reinforcement grid,

[0053] - if necessary, placing a geotextile on the reinforcement grid, and

[0054] - Filling the reinforcement grid with soil material, whereby the working platform is suspended after the reinforcement grid has been filled with soil material.

[0055] Where appropriate, the procedure shall further include the following steps:

[0056] - Moving the securing parts into the release position, in particular by lifting the work platform at the lifting sections,

[0057] - Unhooking the work platform's suspension hooks from the suspension parts, - Hanging the work platform with its suspension hooks in other suspension parts, with the securing parts in the release position, and

[0058] - Moving the safety parts into the locked position.

[0059] If necessary, the reinforced soil can be formed in several layers, with the suspension elements then being arranged in one of these layers. If necessary, layers without suspension elements can be formed, with these layers being located above the layer where suspension elements are arranged. If necessary, one, two, three, or four layers without suspension elements can be formed between a layer with suspension elements. After this, another layer with suspension elements can be arranged.

[0060] If necessary, the method may involve forming several superimposed layers of reinforced earth. If necessary, the working platform is suspended from one layer to a higher layer if the drop height between the surface of the uppermost layer and the platform surface is more than 200 cm, in particular more than 140 cm.

[0061] The work platform is re-hitched by lifting it using a lifting device located on the lifting sections. If present, the locking device is released beforehand so that the securing parts can be moved into the release position. Lifting the work platform releases the suspension hooks from the suspension parts, allowing the suspension hooks to be repositioned on other suspension parts, particularly on suspension parts of an overlying layer of reinforced soil.

[0062] If necessary, after positioning the work platform, the lifting device is released from the lifting sections so that the securing parts can move into the locking position. This is especially true if the suspension parts are located in the suspension areas. If present, the locking device can then be reactivated. After re-hanging, layers of reinforced earth can be formed again if necessary. A further re-hanging is performed, especially when a predefined maximum fall height is reached.

[0063] Further features are evident from the patent claims, the figures, and the description of the exemplary embodiments. The work platform is described in detail below using exemplary embodiments.

[0075] Fig. 1 shows a schematic side sectional view of a work platform according to a first embodiment. The work platform is in an operating position. In particular, the platform surface 17 of the work platform is in a substantially horizontal position.

[0076] The work platform comprises two consoles 2, only one of which is visible in Fig. 1. The platform surface 17 is arranged on a platform leg 3 of the consoles 2 and is bordered by a fall protection device 25. The fall protection device 25 is closed and forms the lower area of a railing 19. The railing 19 is connected to the platform surface 17 via a folding device 24, so that it can be folded toward the platform surface for transport.

[0077] In this exemplary embodiment, the stage surface 17 has a working depth 29 of approximately 100 cm. The stage surface 17 is formed by several surface sections 23 in the form of post coverings arranged between the two stage legs 3.

[0078] The two brackets 2 each further comprise a fastening leg 4 arranged orthogonally to the stage leg 3. The fastening leg 4 in turn comprises a suspension hook 5 arranged in its upper region and a support part 8 arranged in its lower region.

[0079] Each suspension hook 5 of the two brackets 2 is assigned a securing part 10, which is pivotably mounted about a pivot axis 9. The securing part 10 comprises a securing leg 11 pointing in the direction of the suspension hook 5. In the view of Fig. 1, the suspension hook 5 is suspended in a suspension part 6, which is arranged on the embankment surface 1 of a slope structure made of reinforced earth. The embankment surface 1 here has an inclination angle α of approximately 80°.

[0080] The suspension part 6 is arranged in a suspension area 7 of the suspension hook 5. The securing part 10 is in a locked position in which the securing leg 11 closes the suspension area 7.

[0081] The securing part 10 further comprises a lifting section 14 designed for engagement with a lifting device 15. Together with the anchor points 16 arranged on the railing 19, the work platform can be raised using a 4-strand chain suspension. The function of the lifting section 14 is explained in more detail below in connection with the description of Fig. 3.

[0082] The support part 8 is adjustably arranged on the fastening leg 4 and supports the working platform against the embankment surface 1.

[0083] In the embodiment shown in Fig. 1, the stage leg 3 is arranged at the lower end of the fastening leg 4, i.e. in the area of the support part 8.

[0084] A further folding device 37 in the form of a hinge is arranged between the two posts closest to the suspension hooks 5. This allows the outermost post to be folded away, allowing a better view of the support part 8 and better stacking when the fall protection 25 or railing 19 is folded in.

[0085] An alternative embodiment is shown in Fig. 2, in which the stage leg 3 is arranged at the upper end of the fastening leg 4, i.e., in the area of the suspension hook 5. The second embodiment shown in Fig. 2 otherwise largely corresponds to the first embodiment and is therefore not described in detail. In contrast to the first embodiment, in the second embodiment, the attachment points 16 are arranged in the area of the stage surface 17.

[0086] Fig. 3 shows a schematic detailed view of the area of the suspension hook 5 of a work platform according to an exemplary embodiment in the release position, while Fig. 4 shows this area in the locked position. Fig. 5 shows the same area with the securing part 10 in a further position. The securing part 10 assumes this position if the suspension hook 5 is incorrectly positioned, namely if the suspension part 6 is not located in the suspension area 7.

[0087] The suspension hook 5 has a suspension area 7 for receiving the suspension part 6. Furthermore, a securing part 10 is provided, which is pivotably mounted about a pivot axis 9. The securing part 10 comprises a securing leg 11, which closes the suspension area 7 in a locked position (as shown in Fig. 4). If the securing part 10 is lifted at the lifting section 14 by means of a lifting device 15, the securing part 10 moves into a release position (as shown in Fig. 3).

[0088] In the locked position, the center of gravity of the safety part 10 is below the pivot axis 9, so that the safety part 10 automatically pivots into the locked position when the lifting device 15 does not raise the work platform.

[0089] In the securing part 10, the horizontal distance between the center of mass and the suspension hook 5 is greater than the horizontal distance between the pivot axis 9 and the suspension hook 5. Furthermore, the normal distance between the center of mass and the suspension part 6 is greater than the normal distance between the pivot axis 9 and the suspension part 6. The securing leg 11 therefore abuts the suspension part 6. If no suspension part 6 were arranged in the suspension area 7, the securing leg 11 would overswing or pivot into the suspension area 7. The indicator section 30 of the securing part 10 would then no longer be aligned parallel to the upper area of the suspension hook 5, so that incorrect positioning could be easily detected. This position of the securing part is shown in Fig. 5.

[0090] To hold the securing part 10 in the locked position, a locking device 12 is provided, which is designed as a locking pin that is guided through corresponding holes in the securing part 10. This prevents unintentional displacement of the securing part 10 after the work platform has been positioned.

[0091] Fig. 6 shows a schematic view of a support part 8 according to an exemplary embodiment. This support part 8 is T-shaped and has a connecting leg 31 for connection to the fastening leg 4 and a supporting leg 32 for support on the slope surface 1. Several fastening holes 33 are provided on the connecting leg 31 to allow the position of the support part 8 to be adjusted.

[0092] Fig. 7 shows a schematic side sectional view of an arrangement of a work platform on reinforced soil according to one exemplary embodiment. The reinforced soil comprises three layers 26, each having a height 28 of approximately 60 cm. Each layer 26 is formed from a wedge-shaped reinforcement grid 20, compacted soil material 22, and a geotextile 21 arranged between the reinforcement grid 20 and the soil material 22.

[0093] The outer side of the reinforcement grid 20 forms the embankment surface 1, which in this embodiment has a slope a of approximately 65°.

[0094] In Fig. 7, suspension elements 6 are arranged in the lower area of the uppermost layer. The positioning of the suspension elements 6 on the reinforced soil is shown in detail in Fig. 7.

[0095] A work platform with its suspension hooks 5 is suspended in the suspension parts 6, as already described in detail in connection with Fig. 1. The support parts 8 support the work platform against the embankment surface 1, wherein the support parts 8 are supported on the layer 26 that lies directly below the layer 26 on which the suspension parts 6 are arranged.

[0096] The vertical distance between the surface 34 of the reinforced earth and the stage surface 17, i.e. the fall height 35, is approximately 85 cm in this view.

[0097] Fig. 8 shows a schematic detailed view of the suspension hook 6 of the arrangement shown in Fig. 7. The suspension hook 6 comprises two fastening legs 18, each spanning four bars 36 of the reinforcement grid 20. Between the fastening legs 18, a suspension loop 13 is arranged, which projects from the embankment surface 1 and into which the suspension hooks 5 of the work platform can be hooked.

[0098] The geotextile 21 is arranged between the fastening legs 18 and the reinforcement grid 20. This requires that the suspension loop 13 penetrates the geotextile 21.

[0099] Fig. 9 shows a further schematic detailed view of a suspension hook 6 arranged on a reinforcement grid 20. In contrast to Fig. 8, the fastening legs 18 are arranged here between the geotextile 21 and the reinforcement grid 20. Additional hooks 27 are provided for stabilization, extending transversely to the fastening legs 18.
