Abstract
Description
[0001] Pressing tool and method for operating a pressing tool with a separating device designed to separate a waste element separated from a component in a pressing process into individual elements
[0002] The invention relates to a pressing tool comprising an upper tool part and a lower tool part, which are movable relative to one another for pressing a component between the upper tool part and the lower tool part, wherein the pressing tool has a separating device which is designed to separate a waste element separated from a component in a pressing process, in particular a separated drawing edge, into individual elements.
[0003] Press tools of the type mentioned above, which are intended for pressing or forming components, are generally known from the prior art. Typically, a separating device is provided within or on the press tool in order to separate waste separated from the component during a press tool operation, for example drawn edges, into individual elements. For this purpose, it is known that a first separating knife is provided on an upper tool part and a second separating knife, associated with the first separating knife, is provided on a lower tool part. In other words, the first separating knife is moved together with the upper tool part towards the second separating knife, so that the waste element is divided between the two separating knives.
[0004] However, it is known that contaminants generated or resulting during the cutting process, such as chips, flakes, and the like, can be carried along with the first cutting blade (i.e., the upper cutting blade) during an upward movement of the upper tool section and thus fall onto the next component to be machined or its support surface. Known solutions for this problem involve the waste element sliding along a transport path to the cutting plane, where the waste element is cut or divided into individual elements. Depending on the geometry of the waste element and the configuration of the transport path, the transport path or movement of the waste element is complex to design and control.Even with a separation point at a distance from the component, it cannot be completely ruled out that contaminants such as chips or flakes can still be carried along with the upper part of the tool and impair the pressing process. The object of the invention is to provide an improved pressing tool, which, in particular, achieves improved waste separation.
[0005] The object is achieved by a pressing tool according to claim 1. The dependent claims relate to possible embodiments.
[0006] As described, the invention relates to a pressing tool comprising an upper tool part and a lower tool part. The upper tool part and the lower tool part are movable relative to one another; in particular, the lower tool part can be stationary and the upper tool part can be moved relative to it. As described, the pressing tool has a separating device designed to separate waste elements generated during the pressing process, for example, sections of the component, into individual elements.
[0007] The invention is based on the finding that the separating device comprises at least one separating unit which is assigned to at least one separating point and which has two separating blades which are movable relative to one another and are arranged on the lower part of the tool, wherein a relative movement, in particular a closing movement, of the separating blades can be triggered by a driver arranged on the upper part of the tool. Compared to the previously described prior art, the invention therefore proposes arranging both separating blades which sever the waste element on the lower part of the tool. The terms “severing”, “severing” and “cutting through” in the context of this application refer to the cutting up of the waste element. This advantageously ensures that if contaminants, for example chips or fodder, are formed, these remain in the lower part of the tool and are optionally removed together with the cut-up waste element orthe waste element separated into its individual elements can leave the pressing tool, for example, can be removed or led out of the pressing tool with the individual divided waste elements. In any case, the contaminants are not lifted together with the upper part of the tool, since the separating blades of the separating device are arranged on the lower part of the tool and therefore remain in the lower part of the tool. To actuate or drive the separating device, it is contacted by a driver, which is arranged as a stamp-like element on the upper part of the tool, during the closing movement of the pressing tool. The driver transfers the movement of the upper part of the tool relative to the lower part of the tool to the separating device, which thus moves at least one separating blade into its closed position, in which at least one separating blade divides the waste element with its cutting edge at the separation point. The separating device, ieIn general, the pressing tool can have any or a variable number of separating devices, depending on the geometry of the waste element or the desired size of the individual elements.
[0008] According to one embodiment of the pressing tool, it can be provided that the at least one separating device is designed as a separating shear, wherein the two separating knives form shearing knives of the separating shear. The separating shear can be opened or closed by the relative movement between the upper tool part and the lower tool part. In particular, the opening process of the separating shear can be released when the pressing tool is opened. If the separating shear is opened, a waste element can fall between the two shearing knives, i.e. between the separating knives. If the pressing tool is then closed again, the waste element is severed between the shearing knives or by means of the shearing knives by the relative movement of the two shearing knives. At least one shearing knife is moved for the relative movement. At least one of the separating knives can have a cutting edge or blade. In particular, both shearing knives orGenerally, both cutting knives must be designed with cutting edges and blades.
[0009] The described pressing tool can be further developed such that one separating blade, in particular a shearing blade, is immobile, and the other separating blade, in particular the other shearing blade of the separating shears, is movable relative to the fixed separating blade. For example, the fixed separating blade can form or define the separating plane onto which the waste element can fall and is subsequently cut. As described above, the closing movement of the pressing tool closes the movable separating blade or the movable shearing blade. As a result, the waste element is cut between the two separating blades.Furthermore, the pressing tool can be provided with the driver arranged on the upper tool part moving a slider arranged on the lower tool part, which is coupled to the separating device, in particular the movable separating knife, when the upper tool part moves relative to the lower tool part. The slider can, for example, have an actuating surface that interacts with an actuating surface on the driver. If the upper tool part is moved towards the lower tool part, the actuating surfaces come into contact and the driver pushes the slider relative to the lower tool part into the closed position. The slider can, in particular, be arranged to be movable on an inclined plane that is aligned at an angle to a tool plane. The movement of the slide is transmitted to the separating device, in particular to the movable separating knife, so that the separating device can be moved between the open position and the closed position by the movement of the slide, which is triggered or driven by the driver.
[0010] Furthermore, the pressing tool can be provided with the slider coupled to a lever element. The lever element and the movable cutting blade are each arranged at a rotation point or pivot point or swivel point, so that the linear movement of the slider, which is triggered by the linear movement of the driver, is converted into a rotational movement or pivoting movement or turning movement. In the context of the application, a rotational movement is also understood to include a pivoting movement or turning movement. As a result, the cutting blade, in particular in a design as a scissor blade, can be rotated or turned or pivoted about the pivot point or pivot point and can close relative to the immovable cutting blade according to the principle of scissors. In the open state, the movable cutting blade and the lever element release the parting plane, which is defined in particular by the immovable cutting blade. If the separating device is opened, the waste element can fall onto the immovable or stationary separating blade, whereby upon a closing movement of the separating device, the movable separating blade is closed relative to the immovable separating blade and the waste element is divided. The position of the movable separating blade is represented by two axes of rotation, one of which is arranged on the slide. As previously described, the slide is specifically linearly movable, for example along an inclined plane relative to a tool plane. According to one embodiment of the pressing tool, the lever element can be rotatably mounted at a pivot point and coupled to the slide by means of a slotted guide. In this way, the linear movement of the slide can be converted into the pivoting or rotary movement of the lever element. The lever element can also be referred to as a "sheet metal protection element" or "sheet metal protection lever".
[0011] According to a further embodiment of the pressing tool, the lever element can be designed to catch a waste element in a catch plane, in particular on an upper side of the lever element, in an actuated position, in particular a closed position of the pressing tool and thus a closed state of the separating device. Since the lever element, as described, is moved together with the separating knife between the open position and the closed position, it is ensured that the lever element initially catches or retains the waste element in the catch plane when the separating knife is in the closed position. The catch plane is defined in particular by an upper side of the lever element, which faces the upper part of the tool. The upper side of the lever element can have a defined shape, in particular a curved shape, which prevents the waste element from falling onto the movable separating knife. For example, the upper side of the lever element may be convexly curved, with the center of curvature or a radius center lying on the side of the pivot point or pivot point of the lever element.
[0012] The described pressing tool can further be developed such that the lever element is designed to strip off a waste element received in a collecting plane, in particular on an upper side of the lever element, during a transition from an actuated position to an unactuated position, in particular into an open position of the pressing tool. As described, the waste element separated from the component in the current operation is initially collected in the collecting plane so that it cannot fall onto the rear side of the movable separating knife. In other words, the waste element generated in the current operation of the pressing tool and separated from the component, for example by means of a knife ring, initially falls onto the upper side of the lever element, which is in the closed position in the separated state. The waste element remains in the collection plane until the lever element has opened wide enough. Since the lever element is firmly coupled to the movable cutting blade, this ensures that the waste element does not fall onto the back of the movable cutting blade, which could potentially disrupt the operation of the cutting device. Instead, the waste element is held in the collection plane until the movable cutting blade has opened wide enough, so that the waste element is then released from the top of the lever element and falls into the cutting plane, namely onto the top or blade side of the fixed cutting blade.
[0013] According to one embodiment of the pressing tool, the at least one separating device, in particular the slide, can be resettable by means of a reset device, in particular a gas spring. When the upper tool part is moved away from the lower tool part from the closed position, namely after the separation process or the current work step has been completed, the driver is lifted from the slide. The reset device returns the slide to its original position. For example, the slide can be moved upwards along the slope so that, during its backward movement, it also returns the lever element and the movable separating blade to the open position. The return device can, for example, be designed as a gas pressure spring or comprise one and thus form a passive return element which, when the actuation by the driver is no longer carried out, returns the slide and thus the lever element and the movable cutting blade to the starting position.
[0014] In addition to the pressing tool, the invention relates to a method for operating a pressing tool, comprising an upper tool part and a lower tool part, which are moved relative to one another for pressing a component between the upper tool part and the lower tool part, wherein the pressing tool has a separating device which is designed to separate a waste element separated from a component in a pressing process, in particular a separated drawn edge, into individual elements, wherein the separating device comprises at least one separating device assigned to at least one separating point, which has two separating knives which are movable relative to one another and are arranged on the lower tool part, wherein a relative movement, in particular a closing movement, of the separating knives is triggered by a driver arranged on the upper tool part. All advantages, details, designs and / or features described with regard to the pressing tool are fully transferable to the process.
[0015] The invention is explained using exemplary embodiments with reference to the figures. The figures are schematic representations and show:

[0017] Fig. 2 is a schematic diagram of a section of a pressing tool in a closed state in a first view;

[0021] Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of a separating device of a pressing tool in a closed state in a fourth view; and
[0022] Fig. 7 is a schematic diagram of a separating device of a pressing tool in an open state.
[0023] Fig. 1 shows a schematic section of a pressing tool 1, namely an isolated representation of a separating device 2 which is a component of a separating apparatus. The separating apparatus can in principle have any desired or variable number of separating devices 2, for example in order to divide a waste element 3 (cf. Figs. 2-4) into individual elements at several points. The pressing tool 1 has an upper tool part 4 and a lower tool part 5. Fig. 2 shows that a driver 6, which is arranged on the upper tool part 4, acts on a slide 7 of the separating device 2 arranged on the lower tool part 5 when the pressing tool 1 is closed, e.g. when the upper tool part 4 is moved down onto the lower tool part 5.
[0024] As shown, for example, in Fig. 2, 3, the slide 7 is movable along a movement path 8, for example, an incline or an inclined plane, which can be aligned at an angle to a tool plane of the pressing tool 1. A lever element 9 is coupled to the slide 7, for example by means of a slotted guide, wherein the lever element 9 has an upper side 10 facing the upper tool part 4. On the side of the lever element 9 opposite the upper side 10, the lever element 9 is connected to a rotation point or pivot point. Furthermore, a movable cutting knife 11 of the cutting device 2 is coupled to the slide 7. The movable cutting knife 11 is fixedly coupled to the slide 7, such that the movement of the slide 7 triggers or drives a movement of the movable cutting knife 11, which is also rotated or turned or pivoted about a pivot point or axis of rotation.
[0025] The movable cutting blade 11 is movable relative to a fixed cutting blade 12 of the cutting device 2, which fixed cutting blade 12 ultimately defines the cutting plane on which the waste element 3 is cut by closing the cutting device 2, i.e. by moving the movable cutting blade 11 onto the fixed cutting blade 12. For example, the cutting blades 11, 12 form a cutting shear arranged on the lower tool part 5. Contaminants created by the cutting process of the waste element 3, for example chips, flakes and the like, can thus leave the pressing tool 1, in particular exclusively, through the lower tool part 5 and are not lifted with the upper tool part 4, so that contaminants of the waste element 3 from falling back onto a component is reliably prevented.
[0026] During the separation process of the waste element 3, for example starting from the open representation of the pressing tool 1 shown in Fig. 3, the separation process is triggered or driven by the movement of the upper tool part 4. As described, the driver 6 presses on the slide 7 and thus moves the lever element 9 and the movable separating knife 11. The movable separating knife 11 divides the waste element 3, which is placed on the separation plane, i.e. on the fixed separating knife 12, into its individual elements. The movable separating knife 11 is closed until the closed state shown in Fig. 2 is reached, in which the waste element 3 is divided.
[0027] As can be seen, in the closed state of the pressing tool 1, the lever element 9, with its upper side 10, forms a collecting plane 13 in which the waste element 3 is retained. Upon transition to the open state, i.e., when the actuation, i.e., the application, by the driver 6 is discontinued, the slide 7 is reset, for example, by means of a reset device, which may comprise a gas spring. By resetting the slide 7, the elements coupled to the slide 7, namely the lever element 9 and the movable cutting blade 11, are also moved back to the starting position shown in Fig. 3.
[0028] The lever element 9 releases the waste element 3 separated in the previous operation of the pressing tool 1, so that the waste element 3 can fall from the top side 10 into the parting plane, i.e. onto the fixed parting knife 12. The lever element 9 thus prevents in particular a waste element 3 from falling onto the back of the movable parting knife 11 and thus disrupting the operation of the parting device 2. Instead, the waste element 3 is released when the movable parting knife 11 is in the open position or in a sufficiently open position so that the waste element 3 can fall unhindered onto the fixed parting knife 12. In Figs. 4-7, the parting device 2 is shown in isolation for the sake of clarity. In Figs. 4-6, the closed state of the parting device 2 is shown from various perspectives. As already described, in this state the slider 7 has been moved along the movement path 8 by the driver 6, whereby the movable separating knife 11 coupled to the slider 7 and the lever element 9 have been moved into the actuated position. As described, in this position the lever element 9 catches a waste element 3 with its upper side 10 that was generated in this separation process. By way of example, it is shown that the separating knife 11, which is movably coupled to the slider 7, is mounted on a first rotation axis 14 and a second rotation axis 15 or the corresponding pivot point or swivel point. As a result, the linear movement of the slider 7 along the movement path 8 can be converted into the pivoting movement or rotational movement of the movable separating knife 11.
[0029] Furthermore, it is shown, for example in Fig. 5, 6, that the lever element 9 is also mounted so as to be rotatable or pivotable about a rotation axis 16 and that the lever element 9 is coupled to the slide 7 by means of a slotted guide 17. In other words, the linear movement of the slide 7 is converted into a circular movement of the movable cutting blade 11 and the lever element 9. If the actuation is no longer required, i.e., if the upper tool part 4 and with it the driver 6 are moved upwards, the slide 7 is reset, as described, and in doing so takes the movable cutting blade 11 and the lever element 9 with it into the position shown in Fig. 7, i.e., the open state. In this case, the waste element 3, which was produced in the preceding pressing process, can fall from the upper side 10 of the lever element 9 into the cutting plane, i.e., onto the upper side of the stationary cutting blade 12.During the next closing process of the pressing tool 1, the slide 7 is moved again by the driver 6 so that the next separation process can be carried out, in which the separation device 2 divides the waste element 3, which lies in the separation plane.
[0030] The advantages, details and features shown in the individual embodiments can be combined with one another as desired, are interchangeable and transferable to one another.
