Abstract
Description
[0001] MOVEMENT ASSEMBLY FOR A GATE WITH FOLDING DOORS AND GATE WITH FOLDING DOORS COMPRISING SUCH A MOVEMENT ASSEMBLY. DESCRIPTION
[0002] The invention relates to a movement assembly for a gate with folding doors.
[0003] A further subject matter of the invention is a gate with folding doors comprising such a movement assembly.
[0004] Movement assemblies for gates with folding doors are currently known which are capable of transferring movement between the doors of such a gate, allowing them to move in synchrony during the opening and closing of the aforesaid gate.
[0005] Such a movement assembly is typically used on gates with folding doors of the type comprising a first door configured to rotate around a first axis integral with the ground plane and a second door configured to rotate around a second axis integral with said first door.
[0006] In particular, such a movement assembly of known type comprises:
[0007] - a first lever with a first end configured to be hinged to the ground in a direction substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal extension of such a first lever, where such a first lever has an intermediate point configured to be operatively connected to the first door so that a rotation of such a first door around the aforesaid first axis causes the first lever to rotate in the opposite direction around the first end;
[0008] - a slider with a first end operatively connected to a second end of the first lever and with a second end configured to be operatively connected to the second door, where such a slider is configured to translate parallel to the extension plane of the first door so that a rotation of the first lever around the first end causes said second door to rotate in the same direction around the aforesaid second axis.
[0009] However, a similar movement assembly, although known and appreciated, has some important limitations.
[0010] In particular, a first limitation is related to the fact that, when such a movement assembly is installed on a gate with folding doors, the rotation of the first door and the second door between the closed position and the open position of the gate is limited to 90°.
[0011] Furthermore, always when such a movement assembly is installed on a gate with folding doors, the rotation dynamics of the second door with respect to the rotation of the first door imposed by such a movement assembly is disadvantageously wearing for the movement assembly itself.
[0012] The task of the present invention is to develop a movement assembly capable of obviating the aforementioned drawbacks and limitations of the prior art.
[0013] In particular, it is the aim of the present invention to make a movement assembly which, when installed on a gate with folding doors, allows the rotation of the first door and the second door between the closed position and the open position of the gate beyond 90°.
[0014] Furthermore, an aim of the invention is to develop a movement assembly which, again when used on a gate with folding doors, imposes a rotation dynamic of the second door with respect to the rotation of the first door which is less wearing with respect to the known movement assemblies for gates with folding doors.
[0015] The above-mentioned task and aims are achieved by a movement assembly according to claim 1 .
[0016] Further characteristics of the movement assembly according to claim 1 are described in the dependent claims.
[0017] The task and the aforesaid aims, together with the advantages that will be mentioned hereinafter, are indicated by the description of an embodiment of the invention, which is given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the attached drawings, where:

[0019] - figure 1a depicts a detail of figure 1 ;
[0020] - figure 2 depicts a second schematic view from above of the movement assembly of figure 1 in a second operating position;
[0021] - figure 3 depicts a third schematic view from above of the movement assembly of figure 1 in a third operating position;
[0022] - figure 3a depicts a detail of figure 3;
[0023] - figure 4 depicts a first perspective view of a gate with folding doors comprising a movement assembly according to the invention in the aforesaid first operating position;
[0024] - figure 5 depicts a second perspective view of the gate with folding doors of figure 4 in the aforesaid second operating position; - figure 6 depicts a third perspective view of the gate with folding doors of figure 4 in the aforesaid third operating position.
[0025] With reference to the aforementioned figures, a movement assembly according to the invention is indicated as a whole with the number 20.
[0026] Such a movement assembly 20, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3, 3a, 4, 5 and 6, is configured to be used on a gate 10 with folding doors where such a gate is of the type comprising a first door 12 configured to rotate around a first axis Zaintegral with the ground plane and a second door 14 configured to rotate around a second axis Zbintegral with the first door 12.
[0027] It is important to point out that the scope of protection of the present invention is not limited to the use of the movement assembly 20 in the aforesaid gate 10, which is, however, used in the disclosure of the present embodiment of the invention for the sake of clarity and by way of example of operation of the invention itself.
[0028] Such a movement assembly 20 comprises:
[0029] - a first lever 22, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3 and 3a, with a first end 22a configured to be hinged to a rigid point integral with the ground in a direction substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal extension of such a first lever 22; furthermore, such a first lever 22 has an intermediate point 22b configured to be operatively connected to the first door 12 so that a rotation of such a first door 12 around the aforesaid first axis Zacauses the first lever 22 to rotate in the opposite direction around the first end 22a;
[0030] - a slider 26, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3 and 3a, with a first end 26a operatively connected to a second end 22c of the first lever 22 and with a second end 26b configured to be operatively connected to the second door 14; furthermore, such a slider 26 is configured to translate parallel to the extension plane of the first door 12 so that a rotation of the first lever 22 around the first end 22a causes the second door 14 to rotate in the same direction around the aforesaid second axis Zb; in the present example embodiment of the invention, the second end 26b of the slider 26 is configured to be connected to the second door 14 by means of a linear- rotary conversion linkage of known type and clearly visible in figures 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, adapted to convert the translation of the slider 26 into the rotation of the second door 14 around the aforesaid second axis Zb;
[0031] - an arm 23, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3 and 3a, with a first end 23a configured to be hinged to a rigid point integral with the ground between the first end 22a of the first lever 22 and the aforesaid first axis Zain a direction substantially orthogonal to the longitudinal extension of such an arm 23;
[0032] - a second lever 24, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3 and 3a, with a first end 24a hinged at the second end 22c of the first lever 22 and with an intermediate point 24b hinged at a second end 23b of the arm 23 so that a rotation of the first lever 22 around the first end 22a pushes the second lever 24 towards the aforesaid slider 26 with gradually decreasing speed during the opening phase of the first door 12; furthermore, such a second lever 24 has a second end 24c operatively connected to the first end 26a of the slider 26.
[0033] It is emphasised that such a movement assembly 20, once installed on the aforesaid gate 10, allows a rotation of the first door 12 and the second door 14 between the closed position and the open position of said gate 10 beyond 90°. More precisely, as can be seen by comparing figure 1 depicting the gate 10 in a closed position and figure 3 depicting such a gate 10 in an open position, the movement assembly 20 described herein allows a rotation of the first door 12 and the second door 14 between the closed position and the open position up to 180°.
[0034] It is further observed that, considering that a rotation of the first lever 22 around the first end 22a pushes the second lever 24 towards the aforesaid slider 26 with gradually decreasing speed during the opening phase of the first door 12, the closing of the second door 14 on the first door 12 is slower with respect to that imposed by movement mechanisms of known type with the same rotation speed of the first door 12.
[0035] Therefore, it is clear that the present movement mechanism 20 imposes a rotation dynamic of the second door 14 with respect to the rotation of the first door 12 which is less wearing with respect to the known movement assemblies for gates with folding doors.
[0036] In the present example embodiment of the invention, the movement assembly 20 still comprises a first rod 21, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3 and 3a, with a first end 21a configured to be hinged to the first door 12 and with a second end 21b hinged at the aforesaid intermediate point 22b of the first lever 22.
[0037] In particular, the first rod 21 is hinged to the inner end of the first door 12 at a point comprised between the aforesaid first axis Zaand the intermediate point 22b of the first lever 22 so that the rotation of the first door 12 around the aforesaid first axis Zabrings said intermediate point 22b in traction towards the aforesaid first end 21a of the first rod 21 as well as towards such an inner end of the first door 12.
[0038] Thus, in the present configuration, the first lever 22 defines a third class lever whose fulcrum coincides with the first end 22a of the first lever 22, whose acting force is applied at the intermediate point 22b and whose resisting force is applied at the second end 22c of the first lever 22.
[0039] Still with reference to the present example embodiment of the invention, the movement assembly 20 also comprises a second rod 25, clearly visible in figures 1 , 2 and 3, with a first end 25a hinged at the second end 24c of the second lever 24 and with a second end 25b hinged at the first end 26a of the slider 26.
[0040] More precisely, the second rod 25, similarly to the configuration of the first rod 21 with the first door 12, is also hinged to the inner end of the second door 14 through the slider 26.
[0041] Furthermore, in this configuration, the second lever 24 defines a first class lever whose fulcrum coincides with the intermediate point 24b and approaches towards the aforesaid slider 26 more and more slowly during the opening phase of the first door 12, whose acting force is applied at the first end 24a and whose resisting force is applied at the second end 24c.
[0042] It is observed that the first lever 22 is configured to be substantially aligned with the first door 12 at the end of the opening phase.
[0043] Furthermore, the second lever 24 is also configured to be substantially aligned with the first door 12 at the end of the opening phase.
[0044] Such alignment conditions advantageously guarantee a substantially minimized footprint of the movement assembly 20 when, once the movement assembly 20 is installed at the gate 10, such a gate 10 reaches the aforesaid open position.
[0045] As mentioned above, part of the invention is also a gate 10 with folding doors, clearly visible in figures 1 , 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, comprising a movement assembly 20 as described above.
[0046] In particular, such a gate 10 comprises:
[0047] - a support column 11, clearly depicted in figures 4, 5 and 6, configured to be fixed to the ground in a direction substantially orthogonal to the ground plane;
[0048] - a first door 12, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3, 3a, 4, 5 and 6, hinged to the support column 11 orthogonally to the ground plane through at least a first hinge 13 so as to allow the rotation of the first door 12 around the aforesaid support column 11 along a first axis Zaintegral with the ground plane from a first closed position to a first open position;
[0049] - a second door 14, clearly visible in figures 1 , 1a, 2, 3, 3a, 4, 5 and 6, hinged to the first door 12 orthogonally to the ground plane through at least a second hinge 15 so as to allow the rotation of the second door 14 around the aforesaid first door 12 along a second axis Zbintegral with the first door 12 from a second closed position to a second open position;
[0050] - rotation means 16, depicted in figures 4, 5 and 6, operatively connected to the first door 12 and configured to rotate the first door 12 around the aforesaid first axis Za; in particular, said rotation means 16 comprise an electric motor connected in output to an end of said first door 12.
[0051] According to the present embodiment of the invention, the first door 12 is configured to perform a rotation substantially equal to 180° around the first axis Zabetween the aforesaid first closed position and the aforesaid first open position.
[0052] Furthermore, the second door 14 is also configured to perform a rotation of essentially 180° around the second axis Zbbetween the aforesaid second closed position and the aforesaid second open position.
[0053] This advantageously makes it possible to use such a gate 10 in contexts where a wider opening of the first door 12 and the second door 14 is required, as opposed to similar known gates where the opening of the first door 12 and the second door 14 is limited to a rotation of 90°.
[0054] In practice, it has been established that the invention achieves the intended task and aims.
[0055] In particular, with the invention, a movement assembly has been developed which, when installed on a gate with folding doors, allows the rotation of the first door and the second door between the closed position and the open position of the gate beyond 90°.
[0056] Furthermore, a movement assembly has been developed which, again when used on a gate with folding doors, imposes a rotation dynamic of the second door in relation to the rotation of the first door which is less wearing with respect to the known movement assemblies for gates with folding doors.
[0057] The invention thus conceived is susceptible to numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept; moreover, all the details may be replaced by other technically equivalent elements.
[0058] In practice, any components and materials used, as long as they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the dimensions and the contingent shapes, can be any according to requirements and the prior art.
[0059] If the characteristics and techniques mentioned in any claim are followed by reference signs, these reference signs are to be intended for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and, consequently, such reference signs have no limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by these reference signs.
