The present disclosure provides an image generation method and apparatus, a computer device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: displaying a template image in a first area of an editing interface; displaying a floating layer area on the editing interface, and displaying an intelligent mode control and a manual mode control on the floating layer area; in response to the manual mode control being triggered, identifying a first information content of a first information item inputted in an intelligent mode, and determining a second information content corresponding to each second information item in a manual mode; and in response to a trigger operation for a generation control, on the basis of an information content edited in the floating layer area, generating a corresponding target image.
