Photocatalyst having sterilizing power and method for preparing same

Abstract

The present invention relates to: a photocatalyst having sterilizing power which uses the photoactive properties of titanium dioxide; and a method for preparing same. The method for preparing a photocatalyst having sterilizing power, according to an embodiment of the present invention, may comprise the steps of: a) preparing raw material-titanium dioxide in which an anatase phase and a rutile phase are mixed; b) preparing titanium dioxide by roasting the raw material-titanium dioxide; c) mixing the titanium dioxide, a solvent, and a co-catalyst to prepare a mixed solution, and then hydrothermally synthesizing the mixed solution to prepare a catalyst composite; d) cleaning the catalyst composite and centrifuging the cleaned solution containing the catalyst composite to obtain the cleaned catalyst composite; and e) drying the obtained catalyst composite to thereby complete the preparation of a photocatalyst.
