Description

A quartz stone composition and its preparation method and application Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of materials, and in particular to a quartz stone composition, a preparation method thereof and applications thereof. Background Art

[0002] Quartz slabs are composed of over 90% natural quartz and approximately 10% pigments, resins, and other additives for bonding and curing. Processed using a vacuum process, high-frequency vibration molding, and thermal curing, these slabs are hard and dense, offering unmatched resistance to wear, pressure, heat, corrosion, and penetration, making them increasingly popular. However, existing quartz slabs suffer from poor weather resistance and are susceptible to factors such as light, temperature, water, and bacteria. These factors can cause yellowing due to UV radiation, fracture due to temperature fluctuations, expansion and cracking due to water penetration or accumulation, and bacterial corrosion. Consequently, they are generally used indoors and are unsuitable for outdoor infrastructure, significantly limiting their application. Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop a more stable quartz slab to meet market demand.

8. The composition according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the composition comprises, by weight percentage, 80-90% of quartz filler, 8-15% of resin, 0.1-5% of stabilizer, 0.05-1% of colorant, 0.05-1% of initiator and 0.05-1% of coupling agent.

9. The method for preparing a quartz composition according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the quartz composition contains, by weight percentage, 80-95% of quartz filler, 4-15% of resin, 0.1-5% of stabilizer, 0.05-5% of colorant, 0.05-5% of initiator and 0.05-5% of coupling agent, wherein: The quartz filler has a particle size of 6-1000 mesh, the glass transition temperature of the resin is not less than 80° C., the stabilizer is composed of an antibacterial agent: a hydrophobic agent: a nano material or a fiber material in a mass ratio of 1:1-10:3-20, and the preparation of the quartz stone composition includes the following steps: (1) Weighing the required amount of stabilizer, colorant, coupling agent, and initiator, adding them to the required amount of resin, stirring until the mixture is uniform, and then adding quartz filler of 100-1000 mesh and quartz filler of 6-100 mesh in sequence under stirring to prepare a mixture; (2) Under a vacuum degree of -0.1 MPa, the obtained mixture is vacuum-compressed to obtain a sheet precursor; (3) The prepared board precursor is heated and solidified to obtain a board product.

10. Use of the quartz stone composition according to any one of claims 1 to 8 or the quartz stone composition prepared by the method according to claim 9 in preparing building materials that can be used indoors or outdoors.
