Abstract

The present invention relates to use of Utidelone in preparing a drug for pancreatic cancer. The Utidelone inhibits pancreatic cancer. The drug inhibits the proliferation of pancreatic cancer. The proliferation is cell growth or clone formation. The pancreatic cancer is primary pancreatic cancer or secondary pancreatic cancer. The drug comprises a therapeutically effective amount of Utidelone and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. It has been discovered for the first time that the Utidelone can inhibit the proliferation of pancreatic cancer. The Utidelone can significantly inhibit the cellular activity of pancreatic cancer cell lines PANC-1 and BxPC-3, suppress the clone formation thereof, induce the cycle arrest thereof, and promote cell apoptosis.
