Thermoplastic film and method and apparatus for producing a thermoplastic film

Abstract

Thermoplastic film (1) comprising at least one base film (2) and a plurality of reinforcing elements (3) connected to the base film (2). The base film (2) is extended along a longitudinal direction (X) and along a transverse direction (Y), perpendicular to the longitudinal direction (X), and is laterally delimited by a first edge (21) and a second edge (22) opposite to the first edge (21). The base film (2) has a transverse elongation at break at least equal to 200%. The reinforcing elements (3) are substantially rectilinear and separated from each other. Each of the reinforcing elements (3) extends at least from the first edge (21) to the second edge (22) and is orientated so as to form a first angle (Al) with respect to the longitudinal direction (X) comprised between 60° and 120° so that the thermoplastic film (1) has a transverse elongation at break lower than the transverse elongation at break of the base film (2).
