Abstract

The present application provides a communication method and a communication apparatus. The method is applied to a first VMR, and the first VMR comprises a base station module and a user equipment module. The method comprises: sending a first message to a first AMF or an access network device, wherein the first message comprises first identification information of a PLMN corresponding to the base station module and / or second identification information of the first VMR, the first AMF is an AMF under a PLMN corresponding to the user equipment module, and the access network device is an access network device under the PLMN corresponding to the user equipment module; and obtaining address information of a second AMF, wherein the second AMF is an AMF under the PLMN corresponding to the base station module, and the address information of the second AMF is used for establishing connection between the base station module and the second AMF. By means of the present application, the address information of the AMF through which the VMR establishes N2 wireless backhaul access by means of a PDU session can be accurately determined.
