AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

In 5G NR systems, existing technologies have difficulty effectively solving the delay and overhead issues of CSI reporting. In particular, in wireless communication systems that support multi-antenna processing, how to calculate the priority value of the new CSI reporting type to improve system performance and compatibility.

Method used

By configuring the priority value of the CSI report to be linearly related to the first parameter, M candidate values are used to determine the priority of different reporting types. The M candidate values correspond to M reporting types respectively. Types not included in the M reporting types refer to the existing highest or lowest priority types to achieve flexible priority determination.

Benefits of technology

It improves system performance, reduces hardware complexity and cost, enhances compatibility with existing standards and backward compatibility, and simplifies design.

Abstract

The present application discloses a method and apparatus for CSI measurement in a node used for wireless communication. A first node receives a first information block, and the first information block configures a CSI report. A priority value of the CSI report configured by the first information block is linearly related to a first parameter, and a value range of the first parameter comprises M candidate values. The M candidate values are respectively values of the first parameter under M report types. When a report type of the CSI report configured by the first information block is one of the M report types, the value of the first parameter is a candidate value among the M candidate values corresponding to the report type of the CSI report configured by the first information block. When the report type of the CSI report configured by the first information block does not belong to the M report types, the value of the first parameter is the same as one candidate value among the M candidate values corresponding to a reference report type.
