Abstract

The present invention provides an optical module, a lamp apparatus and a motor vehicle. An optical module, comprising: a substrate (10); a plurality of light source assemblies (110) arranged on a surface of the substrate (10), at least a portion of the plurality of light source assemblies being independently controllable to selectively switch on or off; an outer lens (30) arranged on an light emitting side of the plurality of light source assemblies (110) to shape light emitted from the plurality of light source assemblies (110) to have a desired light distribution; and a grid member (20) that is attached to an inner side of the outer lens (30), the grid member (20) comprising a plurality of cells which are arranged in an array, each cell defining a cavity (210), and each cavity (210) of the cell correspond to at least one said light source assembly (110) wherein a gap (111) is provided between the grid member (20) and the substrate (10).
