[0004] The invention particularly relates to wet wipes that contribute to sustainability with the natural raw materials used in their content. It relates to a wet wipe that is especially friendly to baby skin, as it does not contain any petrochemical ingredients and does not cause irritation by means of the natural preservatives it contains.
[0005] The State of Art
[0006] Wet wipes are pieces of wet fabric of specific sizes that are folded and individually wrapped in determined amounts in order to provide convenience. Wet wipes are used for cleaning purposes such as personal hygiene or household cleaning.
[0007] The ingredients of wet wipes used for personal hygiene have been specifically developed. Skin care is very important for babies, and since the barrier properties of sensitive baby skin are not fully developed, products designed for babies should be specially developed. Therefore, everything that contact with the skin of a baby should be chosen in proportion to this sensitivity.
[0008] The present wet wipe applications contain petrochemical preservatives such as Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, which cause various toxicity and environmental problems. These problems include the following:
[0009] Waste and Environmental Effects: The production and use of petrochemical preservatives can lead to the release of waste into the environment and environmental pollution. The environmental effects of these chemicals pose the risk of contaminating pure water sources, reducing biodiversity and damaging ecosystems.
[0010] Irreversible Energy Use: Energy consumption is high since the fossil fuels generally need to be used for the production of petrochemicals. This can increase environmental problems such as climate change and natural resource depletion. In addition, some wet wipe applications cause rash and irritation on the skin. Both the nonwoven material used and the chemicals of petrochemical origin contained in the formulation leave undesirable effects on the skin.
[0011] In the national patent application with publication number TR2017 / 00690, which was encountered in the research for natural wet wipes, a production is mentioned by diluting bentonite with water and adding liquid bentonite solution to produce natural wet wipes. However, since bentonite will leave a clay layer on the skin, it will not be suitable for skin that requires sensitive cleaning, especially for babies.
[0012] In the national patent application with publication number TR2017 / 06732, in the natural wet wipe composition, there is no organic solvents, emulsifiers and any synthetically produced substances. Wipes are obtained by brewing and soaking plants such as chamomile, thyme and Viola tricolor (pansies). However, this method will not provide a solution for mass production as it will cause problems such as standardization and shelf life stability.
[0013] As a result, it has become necessary to make a development in the relevant technical field due to the negativities described above and the inadequacy of existing solutions on the subject.
[0014] Object of the Invention
[0015] The invention is inspired by current situations and aims to solve the above-mentioned negativities.
[0016] The main object of the invention is to form a sustainable wet wipe product that does not cause irritation by means of the natural raw materials it contains in the hygiene and cosmetics industry. The preservatives obtained from natural sources preferred in the product (1 ,2-Heptanediol, Caprylyl Glycol and Pentylene Glycol) were designed by taking irritation complaints and environmental factors into consideration.
[0017] An object of the invention is to provide a reliable sensitive wet wipe for baby skin. Wet wipe lotion is obtained completely from natural sources. This feature ensures that the product contains a natural and skin-friendly formula. It is safe for babies' sensitive skin, and petrochemical ingredients have been removed and replaced by natural origin ingredients, and these ingredients have been minimized. An object of the invention is to present a wet wipe that does not contain petrochemical preservatives. Preservatives obtained from natural sources replace petrochemical origin preservatives commonly used in traditional wet wipe products. In this way, the product offers a safer alternative for users exposed to chemicals.

Preservatives derived from these natural sources allow the product to provide effective protection against microbiological growth. [0029] The invention is based on the principle of developing a sustainable product over existing wet wipe applications by forming a skin-friendly and eco-friendly lotion formula.
[0030] The wet wipes, which are subject of the invention comprise nonwoven sheets soaked with lotion developed with natural origin preservatives.

Pentylene Glycol is used as a solvent in chemicals produced in the cosmetic industry to soften and smooth the skin. In this area of use, Pentylene Glycol has a softening and smoothing effect. In the invention, it is used as a water-binder, moisturizer and protection agent. In alternative embodiments of the invention, natural origin Glycerin, Vitamins, Herbal Extracts and other skin moisturizing agents can be used as protection agents together with or as an alternative to Pentylene glycol.
[0038] Citric acid is a colorless, crystalline organic compound made of carboxylic acids. Its formula is C6H8O7. It is found in almost all plants and the body fluids of many animals. The pH value is 3.5. It is used as a pH control agent in the invention. The pH of the skin-friendly wet wipe is preferred as 4.5 ± 0.5 in the final product.
[0039] Distilled (pure) water is one of the most important inputs for wet wipes. The water used in the invention is turned into ultra-pure water in accordance with international standards for wet wipes in the latest water treatment and processing facilities. The conductivity of ultra-pure water used in the invention is below 2 microS / cm.

[0044] The process steps below are followed in the production of preferred examples of the wet wipe, which is subject of the invention.
[0045] Step 1 : Preparing the lotion
[0046] In the preferred example of the invention, 1 ,2-Heptanediol and Pentylene Glycol are taken into the mixture tank in accordance with the recipes given in Table 1. These chemicals are stored at room temperature. A mixture of 1 ,2-Heptanediol and Pentylene Glycol is prepared. This mixture is ensured to be homogeneous. Mixing time and speed are kept at certain values. Caprylyl Glycol is added to the mixture. It is mixed in the mixer for approximately 15 minutes to melt the Caprylyl Glycol and make the mixture homogeneous. 15-20 minutes is the ideal waiting time.
[0047] Step 2: Lotion Completion
[0048] Distilled water is added to the mixing tank at a predetermined rate and the mixing process continues. The mixing process continues until the formation of a homogeneous lotion is completed.
[0049] Step 3: pH Adjustment
[0050] The pH value of the lotion obtained in the mixing tank is adjusted. Citric Acid is used for this process. The targeted pH value should be 4.5±0.5 in the final product. pH adjustment is carried out under normal temperature and mixing conditions. In the production of a sample of the lotion, which is subject of the invention, 16 kg of 1 ,2-Heptanediol and 3.2 kg of Pentylene Glycol are taken into a mixing tank and mixed at 40 RPM to prepare 4 tons of solution, with all processes at room temperature. 20 kg of Caprylyl Glycol is added to this mixture and mixed for 15-20 minutes, and it is waited for the Caprylyl Glycol to melt. 3960 kg of water is added to this mixture and waited until the Caprylyl Glycol is completely dissolved. This process takes between 5-10 minutes. The final pH adjustment is made by adding 800 grams of Citric Acid to the product and mixing it for 5 minutes to bring the pH to the desired range.
[0051] Step 4: Transfer to Wet Wipe Production Device
[0052] The prepared lotion is transferred to the production device. At this stage, temperature, pressure and other process parameters of the production device are controlled and adjusted.
[0053] Step 5: Nonwoven Cutting and Stacking
[0054] Nonwoven bobbins are attached and connected to the wet wipe production device. The nonwoven, which is wetted with the lotion prepared in the production device, is cut into predetermined sizes. The cutting process takes place with a certain temperature, pressure and cutting speed. Cut nonwoven products are stacked and prepared. In preferred embodiments, nonwoven sheets may contain 60-80% lotion by weight.
[0055] In an example of the invention, the nonwoven in weight of 1.71 g has a wetting percentage of 250 % and contains 4.275 grams of lotion.
[0056] Step 6: Packaging and Labeling
[0057] Stacked wet wipes are packaged hygienically. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, wet wipes are packaged in pure waterproof foil packaging with hard opening / closing labels. The packaging process is done in a hygienic environment. The products are labeled and the necessary information is added to them.

[0059] Temperature: Processes are generally carried out at room temperature between 150 and 250 (590 and 770). Temperature is controlled within this range during lotion preparation and pH adjustment processes. Humidity: Room humidity rate is typically kept between 40% and 60%. [0065] Preferred examples of the invention (containing water, caprylyl glycol, 1 ,2-heptanediol, pentylene glycol, citric acid) have been evaluated for their irritation and sensitization properties. The research model is the skin test according to Jadassohn-Bloch, modified by Rudzki. The test consists of applying the product as three to a selected area of the skin on 30 selected volunteers with sensitive skin, and then observing the skin condition at intervals. Under experimental conditions, the product was evaluated as "Hypoallergenic" after evaluation of skin reactions on healthy adult volunteers before the first application, during the induction period and after the loading phase, and according to the scale used in the interpretation of the results.
[0066] Microbiome Product Analysis
[0067] In the microbiome study, a product solution is prepared with a sterile dilution medium and this preparation is tested with a prescribed vaccine consisting of appropriate microorganisms commonly found on the baby's skin. Each microorganism is tested individually, except for stage IV, where a calibrated mixture of microorganisms from previous stages is used as the vaccine. The product is diluted 1 / 10 with TSB (Tryptone Salt Broth) before adding the vaccine. After 1 hour of incubation at 37°C, the remaining microorganisms were counted with decimal dilutions in the appropriate growth medium. All analyzes were performed in triplicate. In order for the test to be considered “microbiome friendly”, the total score must be 5 or above. The design of the test consists of four (4) different phases: Phase 1 the initial microbiological evaluation of the product being tested; Phase 2 the evaluation of the effect of the product on the growth behavior of microbes on the skin; Phase 3 the evaluation of the effect of the product on the pathogenic microbiota, and Phase 4 the effect of the product on the biodiversity of the microbiome of a particular region.
[0068] Phase 1 results showed that the product did not contain endogenous microbes. Phase 2 results showed that the product had no significant effect on skin microbes on the selected body part. The results of Phase 3 showed that the product did not have a significant effect on the survival of pathogenic flora, while Stage 4 showed that the product had a significant effect on anaerobic biodiversity in Blood agar medium. The product achieved a general score of 9.52 and therefore the tested product can be described as “microbiome friendly”.

[0070] Preferred examples of the invention were subjected to stability tests in various categories such as appearance, color, pH, perfume, weight change, microbiological specification, packaging performance between 0-36 months under 4°C, 23°C, 40°C and 23°C daylight environmental conditions. According to the accelerated stability test results, the product of the invention offers a safe shelf life of 36 months.
[0071] Test for the effectiveness of antimicrobial protection
[0072] According to the test method Ph. Euro. 10 (5.1.3), 2 g sample aliquots were loaded with 0.02 mL inoculum preparation of each test microorganism (Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027 Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 Candida albicans ATCC 10231 Aspergillus brasiliensis ATCC 16404). Challenged samples were stored at 20- 25‘C. The number of viable microorganisms was deter mined at 2 days, 7 days, 14 days and 28 days after loading. In order to determine the number of viable microorganisms, appropriate dilutions of the tested sample aliquots were prepared using NPP buffer containing inactivator No 3. These sample solutions were examined by the cast plate method. Tryptic Soy agar (TSA) and Sabouraud agar (SAB) were used to enumerate bacteria and fungi, respectively. TSA plates were incubated at 30- 350 for 5 days, Sabouraud agar plates were incubat ed at 20-250 for 5 days.
[0073] According to the results of the microbiological examinations, the effectiveness of the protection was found compatible with the requirements of the Ph Eur A criterion for topical preparations.
[0074] The production of preservatives obtained from natural resources used within the scope of the invention is carried out in a more sustainable way compared to the production of traditional petrochemical substances. CLAIMS1. A wet wipe that contains sustainable natural origin ingredients and does not contain any petrochemical content, characterized by comprising:Nonwoven sheets soaked in lotion comprising one or more selected from the group containing Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Zinc Lactate, Sodium Anisate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Silver Citrate, Anisic Acid, Phenylpropanol, Caprylyl Glyceryl Ether, Glyceryl Undecylenate, one or more selected from the group containing 1 ,2-Heptanediol, Gluconic Acid, Levulinic Acid, 1 ,2-Hexanediol, Lactic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Malic Acid, Propanediol, one or more selected from the group containing Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, Vitamins, Herbal Extracts, Other Skin moisturizing agents, andCitric Acid and pure water.

The wet wipe according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising; nonwoven sheets soaked in lotion comprising one or more selected from the group containing 0.1 -1.5 % Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Zinc Lactate, Sodium Anisate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Silver Citrate, Anisic Acid, Phenylpropanol, Caprylyl Glyceryl Ether, Glyceryl Undecylenate, one or more selected from the group containing 0.1 -1.5 % 1 ,2- Heptanediol, Gluconic Acid, Levulinic Acid, 1 ,2-Hexanediol, Lactic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Malic Acid, Propanediol, one or more selected from the group containing 0.005-0.5 % Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, Vitamins, Herbal Extracts, Other Skin moisturizing agents, and0.005-0.5 % Citric Acid and 90-99.5 % pure water by weight.
3. The wet wipe according to claim 2, characterized by comprising; nonwoven sheets soaked in lotion comprising 0.1 -1.5 % Caprylyl Glycol, 0.1 -1.5 % 1 ,2-Heptanediol, 0.005-0.5 % Pentylene Glycol, 0.005-0.5 % Citric Acid and 90- 99.5 % pure water by weight.
4. The wet wipe according to claim 3, characterized by comprising; nonwoven sheets soaked in lotion comprising 0.5 % Caprylyl Glycol, 0.4 % 1 ,2- Heptanediol, 0.08 % Pentylene Glycol, 0.02 % Citric Acid and 99 % pure water by weight.
5. The wet wipe according to claim 1 , wherein; the said nonwoven sheets are nonwovens that do not contain synthetic fibers.
6. The wet wipe according to claim 1 , wherein; the said lotion comprises ultra distilled water with a conductivity below 2 microS / cm.
7. The wet wipe according to claim 1 , characterized by comprising; the said lotion comprises further one or more selected from the group containing natural essential or fixed oils, natural herbal extracts, herbal cleansers, perfume, herbal extracts, vitamins and minerals.

A wet wipe production method that contains sustainable natural origin ingredients and does not contain any petrochemical ingredients, characterized by comprising the following process steps: mixing one or more selected from the group containing 1 ,2- Heptanediol, Gluconic Acid, Levulinic Acid, 1 ,2-Hexanediol, Lactic Acid, Sodium Levulinate, Phenethyl Alcohol, Malic Acid, Propanediol and one or more selected from the group containing Pentylene Glycol, Glycerin, Vitamins, Herbal Extracts, Other Skin moisturizing agents,- ensuring the dissolution of one or more selected from the group containing Caprylyl Glycol, Glyceryl Caprylate, Zinc Lactate, Sodium Anisate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Silver Citrate, Anisic Acid, Phenylpropanol, Caprylyl Glyceryl Ether, Glyceryl Undecylenate in the resulting mixture and mixing by completing with a specified amount of distilled water,- pH adjustment by adding Citric Acid to the resulting lotion, cutting and stacking nonwoven strips in determined sizes by wetting them with lotion,- packaging of stacked wet wipes.
9. The method according to claim 8, wherein; the processes are carried out at 150 to 250 room temperature and 40% to 60% humidi ty rate under room pressure.
10. The method according to claim 8, wherein; pH adjustment is made so that it will be pH 4.5 ± 0.5 by adding Citric Acid.
