Abstract

The present invention refers to a container wad suitable for shotgun cartridges comprising a biodegradable formulation, wherein said formulation comprises (i) a biodegradable polymer selected from a polybutylene succinate (PBS) copolymer in an amount of at least 70% by weight relative to the total weight of the formulation and (ii) a stearate salt in an amount of between 0.01 and 5% by weight relative to the total weight of the formulation. The invention further relates to a method for the manufacturing of a wad comprising said formulation and the use thereof.
