Abstract

An electric drive device for driving an actuator of a work machine includes: a supply unit for supplying hydraulic oil to the actuator; a drive unit for driving the supply unit; and a control unit for controlling the relief pressure of the supply unit. The control unit outputs a signal for giving advance notice of lowering the relief pressure when the load state of the drive unit corresponds to a first load state and persists for a first time, and, after outputting the signal, lowers the relief pressure from a first relief pressure to a second relief pressure when the first load state persists for a second time.
