Abstract

The present application relates to the technical field of education. Provided are an auxiliary reading method, an auxiliary reading apparatus, an electronic device and a storage medium. The method is applied to an electronic device, and comprises: acquiring target coordinates indicated by an indicator on a target page; determining a recognition area on the target page on the basis of the target coordinates; performing target text detection on the recognition area, and when no target text is detected in the recognition area or the distance between the coordinates of target text detected in the recognition area and the target coordinates is greater than or equal to a preset distance threshold value, performing object detection on the recognition area; when a target object is detected in the recognition area, acquiring description information of the target object; and outputting the description information of the target object. On the basis of the solution, the capability of the auxiliary reading apparatus to recognize objects can be improved, which facilitates a user in recognizing the objects, thereby improving the user experience.
