The backlight driving method comprises: acquiring the refresh rate of a frame to be displayed of a liquid crystal panel and parameters of the liquid crystal panel (S10); on the basis of the refresh rate and the parameters of the liquid crystal panel, determining a black frame insertion ratio of said frame (S20); and, on the basis of the black frame insertion ratio, providing a backlight driving signal for a backlight module (S30).
