Abstract

The application relates to a method for transporting fibre bundles (64) by means of a multiplicity of driverlessly self-propelled vehicles (1; 63) in a spinning mill having a line network (32; 49; 69) and a central master controller (61) which determines routes of the vehicles (1; 63) on the line network (32; 49; 69), the vehicles (1; 63) each having a travel drive (2), an energy store (25) for supplying energy to the travel drive (2), a receiving means (3) for the at least one fibre bundle (64), a track reading device (29) for detecting and following a guide track (58) of the line network (32; 49; 69), and a point reading device (30) for detecting and reading reference points (59) of the line network (32; 49; 69), characterized in that the master controller (61) transmits commands each having at least one of the reference points (59) to the vehicles (1; 63) for travelling on the routes, and the vehicles (1; 63) execute the commands at the respective reference points (59), the master controller (61) guiding the vehicles (1; 63) on the line network (32; 49; 69), which connects a starting group (34, 51) of similar textile machines (35, 52), delivering the fibre bundles (64), and a target group (36, 53) of similar textile machines (37, 54), fed with the fibre bundles (64), to one another, from the starting group (34, 51) towards the target group (36, 53) and from the target group (36; 53) back to the starting group (34, 51).
