Abstract

A method is provided that includes a sculpture element that has a ground contacting portion, and an attachment layer comprising thermoplastic elastomer A carcass is provided that has an underlay comprising thermoplastic elastomer. The underlay width is greater than the sculpture element width and / or the underlay length is greater than the sculpture element length. The attachment layer is thermoplastic welded to the underlay such that the ground contacting portion is located outward from the underlay in the thickness direction.
