AI Technical Summary
Technical Problem
Conventional robotic devices struggle to stabilize the posture of linear objects like thin cables during insertion into connectors, leading to deflection and difficulty in achieving precise rotation angles.
Method used
A gripping method and robot hand device that utilizes a deflection suppression mechanism, including a main body, gripping portions, and leaf springs to support the linear object, preventing deflection and enabling stable rotation by adjusting the grip of the gripping surfaces.
Benefits of technology
The method and device effectively suppress deflection of linear objects, allowing for precise insertion and rotation, enhancing the efficiency and stability of connecting linear objects to connection targets.

Abstract
Provided is a gripping method for gripping a linear object, the gripping method comprising gripping the linear object with a first gripping part and a second gripping part of a robot hand device, releasing gripping of the linear object by the first and second gripping parts, and supporting the linear object with respect to the first and second gripping parts through use of a deflection suppressing part so as to suppress deflection of the linear object at an end part of the first and second gripping parts due to the release. Through the present invention, the posture of the linear object can be stabilized when connecting the linear object to a connection object or when rotating the linear object using the robot hand device.
