Abstract

An imaging device (1) comprises an optical element (20), a filter part (40), an image sensor (30), and an image processing unit (3). The optical element (20) has light-condensing characteristics that vary according to the wavelength of incident light. The filter part (40) is disposed at a stage preceding or following the optical element (20) and has one or more bandpass characteristics. The image sensor (30) is disposed at a stage following the optical element (20) and the filter part (40). On the basis of an image obtained by the image sensor (30), the image processing unit (3) generates a spectral image that includes an image having a higher channel count than the channel count of the image obtained by the image sensor (30).
