Abstract

This axial gap motor includes a disk-shaped rotor having a first surface and a second surface serving as a rear surface of the first surface, a shaft that is the rotating shaft of the rotor, a stator positioned so as to face at least the first surface, a first bearing, and a second bearing. The shaft has a first end that does not transmit power to an object to be driven, and a second end that transmits power to the object to be driven. The first bearing is attached to the shaft between the first surface and the first end. The second bearing is mounted on the shaft between the second surface and the second end. The force applied to the shaft by attraction between the rotor and the stator is applied in the direction from the rotor toward the first bearing.
