Abstract

Disclosed is computer-implemented method and system for controlling and / or monitoring production of a product by a production facility using one or more input materials, particularly for the production of a chemical product, wherein at least one of the input materials is a waste-derived recyclable material which is based on ASR-related waste materials) being produced by an ASR-producing private or public entity, the method comprising the following process steps: - Receiving, from the ASR-producing entity, one or more ASR-related waste material package(s), wherein each of the received ASR-related waste material packages is associated with a waste material identifier (ID) which is linked with a corresponding ASR-related waste material passport; - gathering, based on the corresponding ASR-related waste material passport, specification data for the received ASR-related waste material(s) including the amount and the chemical composition of the received ASR-related waste material(s); - gathering, based on the gathered specification data, one or more material parameters for the received ASR-related waste material(s) from a local or external materials data source, for determining suitability of the received ASR-related waste material(s) for recycling or reuse of the ASR-related waste materials) to generate the one or more input materials for production of a product by the production facility; - generating control data for controlling and / or monitoring the processing of the one or more ASR-related waste materials package(s) according to the determined suitability.
