Abstract

A radar system configured to determine a relative yaw between first and second objects, each of which is provided with a radar device. One radar device comprises at least one antenna, and the other radar device comprises at least two antennas. When the radar devices are positioned in a predetermined alignment orientation relative to one another, the antenna of the first radar device is: i) co-polarised with the first antenna of the second radar device; but ii) at least partially cross-polarised with the second antenna of the second radar device by an angular offset. The system determines data indicative of the relative yaw from the relative powers of radar signals received across respective antenna-antenna interfaces between the antenna of the first radar device and each antenna of the second radar device.
