Abstract

This knit design system comprises a processor for executing an editing program for editing design data of a knitted fabric. The processor functions as: a selection unit that selects at least one piece of pattern information that matches a required hardness required for a predetermined region of the knitted fabric from among a plurality of pieces of pattern information; and a creation unit that creates, on the basis of the design data including specific pattern information determined from the at least one piece of pattern information, a knitting program for knitting the knitted fabric in a flat knitting machine. Each of the plurality of pieces of pattern information is information in which design data of a knitted fabric knitted with a monofilament heat-fusible yarn and corresponding hardness corresponding to hardness when the knitted fabric is baked are associated with each other.
