Abstract

A lighting device (100) and a method (1000) are provided. The lighting device (100) comprises a housing (110) accommodating a light source (130) and an optical unit (150) comprising an optical component (160) and a component holder (170) arranged to accommodate the optical component (160). The housing further accommodates a retention mechanism (300) by which the optical unit (150) is releasably attachable to the housing (110), and a slide arrangement (180) by which the housing (110) is slidingly displaceable along the axis, A, with respect to the reflector unit (150), between an initial position (190) and a retracted position (200) of the housing (110). In the retracted position (200) of the housing (110), a portion (210) of the component holder (170) protrudes with respect to the opening (120) of the housing (110) along the axis, A, for enabling the retention mechanism (300) to be released.
