Hidden hinge for doors or windows and mounting method

Abstract

Hinge for arrangement between a first profile (P1) and a second profile (P2) to ensure mutual rotation about an articulation axis (Z), said first and second profiles belonging to a fixed door or window frame and to a movable door or window sash, respectively, or vice versa; at least said second profile (P2) having a longitudinal groove (P2a), the hinge comprising: - a box-like body (1) apt to be housed and fixed inside a cavity (P1a) formed in said first profile (P1), the box-like body (1) supporting a pin (4) of articulation defining the articulation axis (Z); - a movable wing (5) pivotally connected at a first end region thereof (51) to said pin (4) and apt for engagement within said longitudinal groove (P2a) of said second profile (P2), wherein said movable wing (5) has at a second end opposite to said first end region (51) an insertion arrangement (6) for frontal insertion without longitudinal sliding in said groove (P2a), said hinge further comprising wedge means (7) apt in turn to be inserted frontally into said groove (P2a) to engage slidingly with said insertion arrangement (6) in a tightfitting relationship against the slipping off of said insertion arrangement (6) from said groove (P2a), said wedge means (7) being further configured for anchoring to said second profile (P2).
