Abstract

A floor cleaner 1 comprising a body 2 and a sweeping member 100 is described. The sweeping member 100 is arranged to rotate in use about a rotation axis 104 passing through a pivot point of the sweeping member 100, such that the rotation axis 104 is generally perpendicular to the surface to be swept. The sweeping member 100 is shaped and arranged to deform, in response to contact with an object while the sweeping member 100 is rotating, such that the sweeping member 100 contracts radially inwards away from the object.
