Abstract
A noise reduction device (15) is configured to comprise: a detection unit (21) for detecting a forward period in a rectifier circuit (11) that converts AC output from an AC power supply (1) into DC and supplies the DC to a load circuit (3), said forward period being a period in which the AC is flowing in a forward direction; and a control unit (22) that controls a switching circuit (13) connected between the rectifier circuit (11) and the load circuit (3) to an open state when the forward period is detected by the detection unit (21), and controls the switching circuit (13) to a closed state when the forward period is not detected by the detection unit (21).
