Abstract

The present invention ensures a contact load. An insulation-displacement connector fitting (10) is provided with a terminal body (11) having a pair of insulation-displacement blades (15) in a form that extends out in a cantilevered manner from a base (14), and a compression member (30) that is a distinct component from the terminal body (11). Formed between the pair of insulation-displacement blades (15) is an insulation-displacement groove (16) into which a wire (50) in a form where a conductor (51) is enveloped in an insulating coating (52) is pressed. The pair of insulation-displacement blades (15) comprise a pair of blade sections (18) for cutting open the insulating coating (52) in the process of pressing the wire (50) into the insulation-displacement groove (16), and a pair of contact sections (19) for contacting, so as to clamp, the conductor (51) exposed by the cutting open of the insulating coating (52). The compression member (30) comprises a pressing section (39) for pressing the insulation-displacement blades (15) and displacing same so that the pair of contact sections (19) approach one another in the process of relative displacement with respect to the terminal body (11).
