Abstract

A chewable and / or mouth-dissolvable composition based on a hydrocolloid gel comprises at least one magnesium ion source, and at least one beneficial agent. The beneficial agent may comprise at least one form of vitamin D, and / or at least one chromium salt. Such compositions are suitable for use in the treatment of humans with diabetes mellitus.
